Dallas Mavericks guards Luka Doncic (ankle) and Kyrie Irving (thumb) won't play Wednesday against Minnesota. Doncic, who's had a massive workload lately, will sit out his first game since Jan. 15, while Irving will miss a fifth consecutive game. With Dante Exum (knee) also on the injury report as doubtful, the Mavericks backcourt could be very shorthanded on Wednesday. The trio of Jaden Hardy, Tim Hardaway Jr., and Josh Green should do most of the heavy lifting.
Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving (thumb) has been ruled out for a fourth consecutive game and his 20th game overall. He's still dealing with a sprained thumb right now and there hasn't been a timetable set for his return. Grant Williams entered the starting five in Irving's place over the past three games and he's produced a mixed bag of results. He put up a very good stat line in their last contest with 27 points, eight rebounds, three assists, three steals, and one block. Most of the time, fantasy managers won't be able to expect that same kind of production, but the Mavericks have been quite banged up lately. He still garners streaming value and will likely remain that way until Irving comes back.
Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving (thumb) has been ruled out ahead of Saturday's game against the Sacramento Kings. The superstar guard will miss his third game in a row due to a sprained thumb. The assumption is that Grant Williams will remain in the starting five. However, Williams hasn't been great lately, so fantasy managers are better off going with Tim Hardaway Jr. for Saturday's slate.
Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving (thumb) is doubtful for Saturday's meeting with the Sacramento Kings. Irving will likely miss a third consecutive outing as the multi-time All-Star continues to deal with a sprained right thumb. Luka Doncic (ankle), coming off a 73-point outing on Friday against Atlanta, would normally absorb most of the scoring opportunities. However, with Doncic and Derrick Jones Jr. (wrist) questionable, fantasy managers could get extra production out of guys like Josh Green, Tim Hardaway Jr., and Dante Exum. There's also a chance Jaden Hardy could get enough work to warrant value consideration in DFS contests.
Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving (thumb) will be forced to miss a second consecutive game with a thumb sprain. He originally was listed as questionable for the opening injury report against the Atlanta Hawks but has been downgraded once more. Irving has been good for moderate periods this season but has already missed his fair share of games. The good thing for the Mavericks is that the rest of the backcourt is healthy so they won't have to scrounge at the bottom of the rotation to find someone to throw on the court. While Irving watches from the sidelines, Luka Doncic will be primed for a huge game. Meanwhile, Josh Green and Tim Hardaway Jr. could serve as stronger streaming options.
