Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving (thumb) is officially available ahead of Thursday's game against the New York Knicks. Irving will play after being listed as probable earlier in the day due to a right thumb sprain. Irving has played significant minutes lately and it doesn't appear that his thumb is impacting his performance. The expectation is that Irving will continue playing his normal role on Thursday. Fantasy managers can go ahead and get him back in their lineups.

Dallas Mavericks guard Luka Doncic (nose) is available ahead of Thursday's game against the New York Knicks. As expected, Doncic will continue to play through his broken nose. Doncic was wearing a mask on Tuesday, but has decided to get rid of it. The nose doesn't appear to be holding him back at all. Fantasy managers can feel safe plugging Doncic back into their lineups on Thursday.

The Washington Wizards have acquired center Richaun Holmes and draft compensation from the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for Daniel Gafford. With Gafford's departure vacating the starting center role in D.C., Holmes is a popular waiver-wire fantasy addition on Thursday. Marvin Bagley III (back) is also a big winner of the deal, but the oft-injured former top pick is currently sidelined due to a lower back contusion. Holmes hasn't been fantasy relevant since the 2021-22 campaign with the Sacramento Kings, where he averaged 10.4 points on 66.0% shooting from the floor, 7.0 rebounds, and 0.9 blocks in 23.9 minutes covering 45 games. While the 30-year-old has a big opportunity to recapture some semblance of that productivity and make an impact in the 6-41 Wizards' thin frontcourt, he's only worth a speculative add at this stage. His debut should come on Friday against the Boston Celtics.

Brooklyn Nets forward Dorian Finney-Smith (ankle) is still out for Thursday's matchup with the Cleveland Cavaliers. A sprained left ankle will keep Finney-Smith sidelined for a sixth consecutive game, but he remains day-to-day and will target a return for Saturday's clash with San Antonio Spurs in the fourth game of Brooklyn's five-game homestand. Royce O'Neale is on the move to the desert on Thursday, so the Nets may have to give Ben Simmons more run than they'd like to following his long layoff with back problems. Since Spencer Dinwiddie was sent north of the border as well, Simmons should function as the primary facilitator in the starting lineup but still faces a possible playing-time cap after logging just 20 minutes in Tuesday's defeat to the Dallas Mavericks. That makes him a risky DFS play in a difficult draw against a Cleveland group giving up the third-fewest points per game (109.6) in 2023-24.

New York Knicks forward OG Anunoby (elbow) remains out for Thursday's tilt versus the Dallas Mavericks. The Knicks have updated Anunoby's injury from inflammation to a bone spur irritation in his right elbow, which can't help but sound a bit more complicated than the original listing. With the All-Star break on the horizon, New York could opt to hold Anunoby out until play resumes to get this issue fully resolved, but the forward nonetheless has a chance to end a six-game absence on Saturday against the visiting Indiana Pacers in the final game of a six-game homestand. Head coach Tom Thibodeau has tightened his rotations to eight players with Quentin Grimes (knee) out of the mix, leaving behind ample playing time for Precious Achiuwa. Averaging 13.2 points, 7.8 rebounds, 1.4 steals, and 1.4 blocks in 39.8 minutes across his past five games, Achiuwa remains a strong fantasy streamer on Thursday.
