Houston Rockets center Alperen Sengun (calf) has been ruled out for Monday's matchup against the New York Knicks. The versatile big man has been downgraded from questionable to out as a left calf contusion continues to keep Sengun off the court. With Fred VanVleet (ankle) also sidelined, the Rockets will be without two starters. Tari Eason and Jae'Sean Tate will be promoted to the first unit. This gives both players additional fantasy value. Eason is the better fantasy target, as he's averaging 11.2 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 1.9 steals for the season.

Houston Rockets guard Fred VanVleet (ankle) won't play on Monday against the Knicks. He sprained his ankle in Saturday's loss to the Brooklyn Nets and didn't return, so most assumed he wouldn't be on the floor versus New York. But fantasy managers are left wondering how long he'll be sidelined. Until VanVleet is back on the floor, Amen Thompson may operate at the one, increasing his usage. Thompson could also see more production, especially if Alperen Sengun (calf) remains on the shelf. The same can be said for Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, and Tari Eason, who could return to the starting lineup.

Houston Rockets center Alperen Sengun (calf) is questionable for Monday's game in New York. Sengun was recently named an All-Star, with the 22-year-old averaging 19.1 points, 10.4 rebounds, 5.0 assists, and 1.3 steals during the 2024-25 campaign. He's missed the last two games with a calf contusion. But if Sengun can't get on the floor against the Knicks, Steven Adams, averaging 11.0 points, 8.5 rebounds, 1.5 blocks, and 1.0 steals in two starts this season, will remain a viable streaming option.

Houston Rockets guard Fred VanVleet (ankle) didn't return to Saturday's loss to the Brooklyn Nets. The 30-year-old didn't contribute much in this one, scoring only three points before exiting with an ankle injury after 17 minutes of work. Head coach Ime Udoka didn't know the severity of the injury. But fantasy managers should anticipate VanVleet missing Monday's game against the New York Knicks. If that's the case, Amen Thompson will likely take over most of the duties at the one, with Dillon Brooks and Jalen Green on tap for more production. That will also apply to Alperen Sengun (calf) once he's cleared to return to the floor after missing the last two games because of a calf contusion.

Houston Rockets center Alperen Sengun (calf) will miss his second straight game Saturday against the Nets. This will leave Houston without its star big man and his 19.1 points, 10.4 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game. Steven Adams will start in his place and could be a sneaky fantasy play after posting 11 points and 10 rebounds in his last outing against the Memphis Grizzlies. Jock Landale is also expected to see increased minutes as the backup.
