Houston Rockets forward Tari Eason will rejoin the starting lineup on Thursday against the New Orleans Pelicans. He will take the place of Jabari Smith Jr., who is coming off a couple of quiet performances as a starter. Despite moving to the bench on Tuesday against the Indiana Pacers, Eason recorded an impressive double-double with 16 points and 14 rebounds. He has averaged 13.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, 1.5 blocks, and 2.2 steals in six starts this season. Amen Thompson, Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, and Alperen Sengun complete Houston's starting lineup against the Pelicans.

With Eason sidelined, Jabari Smith will likely be in the starting lineup and take on extra minutes. Smith was on the floor for 20 minutes on Saturday against the Kings, posting five points, seven assists, and one block.
