Dallas Mavericks forward P.J. Washington (ankle) has been ruled out for Wednesday's matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks. He will sit out a second consecutive game after aggravating a right ankle sprain against the Bucks on Saturday. The Mavericks are down to bare bones and will have to lean heavily on their depth players moving forward. Kai Jones led the team with 21 points on Monday against the Sacramento Kings, with Kessler Edwards starting, and Olivier-Maxence Prosper also part of the rotation.

ESPN's Shams Charania said Tuesday on the Pat McAfee Show that Dallas Mavericks center Anthony Davis (thigh) could miss the remainder of the season due to a thigh injury he suffered during his first game in a Mavs uniform on Feb. 8. Charania also reported more devastating news for the club on Tuesday, stating that Kyrie Irving (knee) has been ruled out for the rest of this year's campaign after he suffered a torn ACL on Monday against Sacramento. Davis was having a fantastic season before his injury, posting averages of 25.7 points, 12.0 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.3 steals, and 2.2 blocks in 34.2 minutes per contest.

According to ESPN's Shams Charania, Dallas Mavericks guardKyrie Irving(knee) suffered a season-ending torn ACL during Monday's loss to the Sacramento Kings. The veteran was having an excellent season, averaging 25.0 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.3 steals, and 40.1% shooting from behind the arc. Dallas has been withoutAnthony Davis(adductor),Dereck Lively II(ankle),Daniel Gafford(knee), andP.J. Washington(ankle), soKlay Thompson,Naji Marshall,Max Christie, andDante Exumcould see an uptick in minutes on the floor and a bump in production with Irving out.

Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving (knee) won't return to Monday's matchup with the Kings. Irving logged nine minutes, amassing seven points before suffering a left knee injury. The Mavs are calling the injury a sprain. However, Irving couldn't put any weight on his leg and needed assistance off the floor. He will likely undergo further testing. The veteran has had an excellent season, averaging 25.0 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.3 steals, and 40.1% shooting from behind the arc. Dallas has been without Anthony Davis (adductor), Dereck Lively II (ankle), Daniel Gafford (knee), and P.J. Washington (ankle), so Klay Thompson, Naji Marshall, Max Christie, and Dante Exum could see a bump in production if Irving is sidelined.

Dallas Mavericks forward P.J. Washington (ankle) has been ruled out ahead of Monday's game against the Sacramento Kings. Washington will take a seat after exiting early during Saturday's game due to a sprained right ankle. The absence of Washington should mean that Naji Marshall moves into the starting five. He figures to play at least 30 minutes which should result in decent streaming appeal until Washington is able to return to the court.
