Boston Celtics forward Sam Hauser (back) won't play in Monday's game versus the Milwaukee Bucks. He appeared in the opening night win over the New York Knicks, finishing with 10 points and five rebounds. But the 26-year-old will now miss his third consecutive contest. His next chance to suit up will be on Wednesday versus the Pacers. But as far as Monday's contest is concerned, the C's will likely rely mostly on the starting lineup, which isn't bad for fantasy purposes. Payton Pritchard, Xavier Tillman Sr., and Luke Kornet could also be involved enough to warrant roster consideration in deeper fantasy setups.

Boston Celtics forward Sam Hauser (back) is questionable for Monday's matchup with the Milwaukee Bucks. Hauser began the 2024-25 campaign by scoring 10 points and pulling down five boards in the opening night win over the New York Knicks. Unfortunately, he's been sidelined since due to back pain. With that in mind, if Hauser misses a third consecutive contest, the C's may lean more on their starting unit. Xavier Tillman Sr., Luke Kornet, and Payton Pritchard could see the most minutes from off the bench, giving them an upside for those participating in deeper fantasy formats. All three will also draw value attention from DFS managers if Hauser stays off the floor.

Boston Celtics forward Sam Hauser (back) won't play in Saturday's game against the Pistons. Hauser had 10 points and five boards in the opening night win over the New York Knicks. However, he'll now miss his second game of the 2024-25 campaign because of low back pain. Without Hauser, Payton Pritchard, coming off a 15-point effort on Thursday versus the Wizards, could see the floor even more. But if the Celtics build a decisive lead, Jordan Walsh, JD Davison, and Jaden Springer could pick up some minutes in garbage time.

Boston Celtics forward Sam Hauser (back) has been ruled out ahead of Thursday's game against the Washington Wizards. He was downgraded to questionable earlier in the day and now he'll sit out due to a lower back issue. The injury isn't considered to be serious, so Hauser should be back in the mix within a few days. The absence of Hauser should mean more minutes for Jordan Walsh, Xavier Tillman Sr., and Luke Kornet on Thursday. Tillman probably has the highest upside out of the three players for Thursday's slate. He finished with seven rebounds in 17 minutes during the season opener.

Boston Celtics small forward Sam Hauser is listed as questionable for Thursday night's game against the Washington Wizards with lower-back pain. Hauser was able to log 24 minutes in Tuesday night's thrashing of the New York Knicks and put up 10 points while going 2-for-7 from deep. Those numbers are in line with what Hauser produced off the bench for Boston last season and aren't fully a beneficiary of garbage time. If Hauser is ruled out for Thursday's game, expect Xavier Tillman Sr. to get a bit more shooting volume at the forward position, though his scoring threats are more likely to happen in the interior rather than from deep. It's possible that Payton Pritchard may see more of an uptick in three-point attempts to make up for Hauser's absence if he is indeed ruled out. Fantasy managers should target Pritchard over Tillman if there's a choice between the two.
