Boston Celtics forward Xavier Tillman Sr. (knee) has been ruled out for Thursday's meeting with the Philadelphia 76ers. Tillman is dealing with inflammation in his left knee, which will sideline him for a third consecutive contest. The 26-year-old hasn't played much this season, appearing in 27 of 55 games despite having a strong preseason stint. Tillman has been an end-of-the-bench player in his first full season in Boston, so his absence won't have much of an impact from a fantasy perspective.

Tillman's absence shouldn't impact the Celtics' rotation, as he's averaged just 8.6 minutes across 17 games so far in this year's campaign. With Tillman and Sam Hauser (back) both out, players like Neemias Queta and Jordan Walsh could soak up a few extra minutes on Thursday.

Per Jared Weiss of The Athletic, Boston Celtics general manager Brad Stevens said Tuesday that forward/center Xavier Tillman Sr. (knee) had a knee scope during the offseason, but he will be a full-go for training camp. With Kristaps Porzingis (foot) out to start the season, the 25-year-old will have a chance for early-season minutes. During 20 regular-season contests last year, Tillman averaged 4.0 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.0 assists in 13.7 minutes.
