Atlanta Hawks forward Jalen Johnson (ankle) will return to action on Friday against Utah. Atlanta's rising star will be back after missing three games with a right ankle sprain. Johnson only recently faced the Jazz and had a great night with 22 points, 13 rebounds, six assists, and one steal. We could see something similar from him on Friday, as Utah tends to struggle defensively. The team sits 29th in defensive efficiency.

Atlanta Hawks forward Jalen Johnson (ankle) has been upgraded from doubtful to questionable for the team's game against the Utah Jazz on Friday. He's missed the team's last three games and the lack of offense was very evident while Saddiq Bey (knee) and Trae Young (finger) were also out. Johnson has been a top candidate for Most Improved Player of the Year this season and would inject some much-needed talent into the Hawks' roster and fantasy lineups. So far this season, he's averaging 15.7 points, 8.6 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.1 steals, and 1.7 turnovers per game. If he's unable to play again, Wesley Matthews and De'Andre Hunter should see more opportunities.

Atlanta Hawks forward Jalen Johnson (ankle) is questionable to play on Friday against Utah. The 22-year-old has been out for three games with a right ankle sprain. He was listed as doubtful prior to Wednesday's clash with Portland, so the questionable designation is definitely a step forward. Johnson has enjoyed a breakout campaign, and Trae Young's (finger) absence makes him an even more important piece for Atlanta. If he can't return on Friday, Vit Krejci looks set for a fourth consecutive start. The 23-year-old has struggled to make a mark despite getting a big opportunity and isn't a recommended fantasy option. De'Andre Hunter might be the biggest beneficiary of Johnson's absence, especially with Saddiq Bey (knee) also out.

Atlanta Hawks forward Jalen Johnson (ankle) was already listed as doubtful, so he wasn't expected to play against the Portland Trail Blazers in the first place. Now, it's official and Johnson will not suit up on Wednesday night. Since the team is already missing Trae Young (finger) and Saddiq Bey (knee), losing Johnson is going to take an even bigger chunk out of their offensive firepower. De'Andre Hunter will probably move into the starting five along with Vit Krejci and Bogdan Bogdanovic. Hunter and Bogdanovic would serve as the better streaming options, but Krejci could provide some stats given the added opportunities if needed.

Atlanta Hawks forward Jalen Johnson (ankle) is doubtful ahead of Wednesday's game in Portland. The 2021 No. 20 overall pick has improved significantly from last season, averaging 15.7 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 1.1 steals in 48 games during the 2023-24 campaign. Johnson has missed the last two games because of a sprained right ankle, and although he's not expected to play, the designation at least suggests he's moving in a favorable direction. The Hawks lost Saddiq Bey (knee) for the remainder of the year, so fantasy managers should expect more production from Bogdan Bogdanovic and De'Andre Hunter behind Dejounte Murray versus the Trail Blazers if Johnson ultimately gets ruled out.
