According to ESPN's Brian Windhorst, Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young's value isn't as high as the team would like. Young averaged 25.7 points and 10.8 assists last season. He also shot 37.3% from behind the arc. However, he was limited to only 54 games due to injury. There were rumblings Young was on the trade block last season. Instead, Atlanta traded Dejounte Murray to the New Orleans Pelicans in the offseason. With that said, it's a pivotal year for Young, considering his performance this season could dictate his future in Atlanta. For now, fantasy managers should continue to view him as a top-20 fantasy option, although drafting him heading into the season is riskier than ever.
Atlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young could be one of the biggest names on the move in the NBA this offseason. Sources have told Yahoo Sports' Jake Fischer that three teams are "appealing"to the talented playmaker, who has averaged a double-double in back-to-back seasons. These teams are the Lakers, Pelicans, and Spurs. Young seems like a good fit for all three teams and would definitely add a lot to them. However, engineering a move for him won't be easy, as the Hawks likely won't want to give up the three-time All-Star cheaply.
Atlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young (finger) will rejoin the lineup on Wednesday against Charlotte but will carry a minutes restriction. It's unclear how many minutes he will get in his first action in 24 games, but the team will be delighted to see him back, with the play-in tournament starting next week. Young's return eases playmaking duties on Dejounte Murray, and Bogdan Bogdanovic should eventually land back with the second unit. The Serbian sniper will likely still remain with the starters on Wednesday, as a number of regulars are out.
