The Atlanta Hawks announced that forward/centerLarry Nance Jr. (hand) will undergo surgery on Thursday after imaging confirmed a fractured fourth metacarpal bone in his right hand. A recovery timetable has yet to be provided, but the 31-year-old will likely miss several weeks after playing very well in December. Despite Nance's upcoming extended absence, Onyeka Okongwu did return for the Hawks on Sunday after missing five consecutive contests due to inflammation in his left knee.

Atlanta Hawks forward Onyeka Okongwu (knee) remains out for Saturday's meeting with the Miami Heat. He'll now miss his fifth consecutive contest because of left knee inflammation, so it's anyone's guess when he will be healthy enough to return. With Bogdan Bogdanovic (leg) and Dyson Daniels (illness) also sidelined, the Hawks will need to go deeper into the bench, meaning De'Andre Hunter, who scored 25 points on Thursday versus the Bulls, and Larry Nance Jr. could continue to benefit from a production standpoint.

Atlanta Hawks guard Dyson Daniels (illness) won't play on Saturday against the Heat. The 21-year-old is having the best season of his career, averaging 13.0 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 3.1 steals. Hopefully, the illness he's dealing with won't keep him off the floor moving ahead. However, with Onyeka Okongwu (knee) and Bogdan Bogdanovic (leg) also sidelined, the door is open for De'Andre Hunter, who had 25 points in Thursday's win over the Bulls, to remain more involved on the scoring end. DFS managers should also consider Larry Nance Jr. and Garrison Mathews for value opportunities.

Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young (heel) will play on Saturday versus Miami. Young has been plagued by various ailments during the season. However, he's only missed two games. The 26-year-old is averaging 22.0 points during the 2024-25 campaign, the second-worst mark of his career. Fortunately, he has averaged a career-high 12.1 assists. As such, Young is a must-start redraft option. However, the Heat have allowed only 108.6 points per game this season, so Young may have a tough time hitting value for DFS managers.

Atlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young (heel) is considered questionable for Saturday's matchup against Miami. He continues to carry a heel injury, although Young has played through the issue in back-to-back games. With Kobe Bufkin (shoulder) done for the season, Vit Krejci and Keaton Wallace will operate in the point guard position should Young be unavailable for Saturday's game. The two haven't done enough to warrant fantasy consideration.
