Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Christian Yelich went deep on Sunday in the fourth inning against Tampa Bay Rays' right-hander Drew Rasmussen to help propel the Brewers to a 4-2 victory and prevent getting swept in their three-game series with the Rays. In addition to the home run, Yelich finished his afternoon going 2-for-4 with two runs scored, one RBI, and a stolen base. The stolen base was his eighth of the season, as the home run was his seventh. Yelich has gotten off to a slow start to his 2025 campaign, slashing only .208/.303/.375; however, he is a career .285 hitter and hit .315 in 2024, so progression should be on the horizon for the 33-year-old veteran. Next up for the Brewers and Yelich is a three-game series in Cleveland to take on the Guardians.

Boston Red Sox starting pitcher Lucas Giolito pitched 6 2/3 strong innings in his team's 3-1 win over the Kansas City Royals. The 30-year-old veteran fired in 59 of 88 pitches for strikes, allowing two hits, no earned runs, one walk, and striking out five. Giolito was dominant for most of Sunday's outing, but a single, a walk, and a throwing error on a bunt (his own) in the bottom of the third were enough for the Royals to push a run across. Still, the right-hander was excellent, doing a good job of limiting hard contact against him. It was a nice bounce-back for him after allowing six earned runs and ten hits to the Rangers his last time out. He'll attempt to continue his solid pitching when he squares off against the Atlanta Braves on the road next week.

San Francisco Giants outfielder Heliot Ramos went 2-for-2 with a home run and four RBI in Sunday's 7-6 loss to the Minnesota Twins. He also singled, hit a sac fly, walked, and was caught stealing. The 25-year-old has now homered twice in as many days and been very productive since the end of April. Across his last 13 outings, Ramos is batting a fantastic .418 (18-for-43) with four home runs, three doubles, nine RBI, and 11 runs scored. Incredibly, he's a perfect six-for-six in his last six at-bats dating back to Friday. The former first-round pick holds a 1.272 OPS in May. It's difficult to determine what, if anything, has changed, other than his increased contact while swinging in 2025 (84.5% zone contact). Still, fantasy managers should continue to fire him up while he's hot. Five of Ramos' last ten hits have gone for extra bases.

Cleveland Guardians starting pitcher Luis L. Ortiz allowed four hits and one earned run over six innings in his team's 3-0 loss to the Philadelphia Phillies. The Dominican Republic native walked two and struck out nine in the quality start, falling to 2-4 on the season. Ortiz put together a strong performance on Sunday, with a second-inning Kyle Schwarber home run accounting for the only blemish against him. Although he was otherwise excellent, Phillies pitcher Zack Wheeler outdueled him with seven scoreless innings of three-hit ball, while his offense failed behind him. The 26-year-old has been up-and-down in eight starts thus far, registering four outings with at least eight punchouts but two with four or more runs. He'll carry an inflated 4.78 ERA and 1.36 WHIP (43 1/3 innings) into his next start on the road against the Cincinnati Reds.

Los Angeles Dodgers right-hander Landon Knack will make another start for the Blue on Tuesday against the visiting Athletics. Knack will stick around in L.A.'s sixth-man starting rotation for the time being after he picked up his second win of the season against the Miami Marlins on May 7 by tossing five shutout innings with one walk and a season-high five strikeouts. If the 27-year-old pitches well again against the A's at Dodger Stadium on Tuesday, he could stay in the Dodgers' rotation until one of Blake Snell (shoulder) or Tyler Glasnow (shoulder) are able to return from the injured list. The former second-rounder in 2020 out of East Tennessee State is currently 2-0 on the season with a 4.61 ERA and 1.46 WHIP with 12 strikeouts and seven walks in 13 2/3 innings over his four outings (three starts). You could certainly find worse streaming options than Knack in fantasy.
