Tylor Megill Looks Excellent On Monday

New York Mets starting pitcher Tylor Megill was nearly untouchable versus the Philadelphia Phillies on Monday. Megill threw 5 1/3 shutout innings, allowing only one hit while striking out a career-high 10 batters in the win. This was Megill's first double-digit strikeout performance since 2021. It's not easy shutting down this Phillies lineup, so Megill deserves a ton of credit. Megill has been extremely effective early in the season, allowing only three total earned runs. He'll take a 1.09 ERA, 1.26 WHIP, and 30/11 K/BB ratio into his next start against the Washington Nationals. Megill hasn't pitched deep into games, but is well worth a look for fantasy managers seeking pitching help.

Gavin Williams Records Eight Strikeouts

Cleveland Guardians starting pitcher Gavin Williams posted arguably his best outing of the season versus the New York Yankees on Monday. The right-hander went 6 1/3 innings, allowing two earned runs on seven hits with eight strikeouts in the win. This was a nice bounce back outing from Williams who gave up five earned runs during his last start. Outside of his one bad start, Williams has allowed two earned runs or less in four of his five starts this season. He'll look to keep the good times rolling against the Boston Red Sox tough lineup in his next start.

Asbel Gonzalez Running Wild At Single-A

Kansas City Royals outfield prospect Asbel Gonzalez stole his minor league-leading 20th base on Saturday for Single-A Columbia, having played in only 14 games thus far. Not only that, the 6-foot-2 Venezuelan is 22-for-55 (.400) during that time and has more walks than strikeouts (7:4 BB:K). The drawback here is that not one of his hits has gone for extra bases, so there is little pop in his bat. On the other hand, he's only 19 years old, and with his size, there is still time to grow into some power. Regardless, the eye-opening speed is something to keep an eye on for dynasty managers as he works his way through the minor leagues. The Royals' 23rd-ranked prospect doesn't have an ETA until 2028, according to MLB.com's top prospects list, though.

Gustavo Campero Leads Minors In Hits After Four-Hit Day

Los Angeles Angels outfield prospect Gustavo Campero went 4-for-4 at the plate for Triple-A Salt Lake on Sunday, which included hitting his first home run of the season. The four hits put him in a tie for first place on the minor league leaderboard for most hits so far in 2025 with 29 of them, now slashing a robust .345/.404/.512 with 10 extra-base hits and six steals in 20 games. The switch-hitter slashed .279/.392/.472 betweenDouble and Triple-A last season with 14 home runs and 33 steals, culminating with a late-season call-up to the big leagues where he went 11-for-46 (.239) with a home run and a better-than-league-average strikeout rate of 16.7 percent. The 5-foot-6 Colombian is making the case for another call-up, and with his power-speed combo, he could have an impact in deep and AL-only leagues if he finds his way to regular at-bats, but the 27-year-old isn't a stash candidate at this time.

Justin Crawford Continues To Show Well At Triple-A

Philadelphia Phillies outfield prospect Justin Crawford went 2-for-5 at the plate for Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Sunday, raising his batting average to .293 on the young season. Crawford also stole his eighth bag of the year. The Phillies' third-ranked prospect is off to a fine start at Triple-A after cruising through High-A and Double-A last year to the tune of a .313/.360/.444 slash line with nine home runs and 42 stolen bases. With an 18.0 percent strikeout rate, the 21-year-old doesn't appear to be overmatched, so despite a 2026 ETA according to MLB.com, it wouldn't be a surprise to see the youngster in the big leagues by the end of the campaign. He may not be a contributor in terms of power when he arrives, but the stolen base acumen will be an asset to fantasy managers who need a boost in that category.
