Cincinnati Reds outfielder Austin Hays hit a two-run home run in Thursday's 11-7 loss to the Mariners. This was his second home run in just his third game of the season after being activated from the injured list on Tuesday. This is a great start in his new home after he disappointed in 2024 in a season split between the Orioles and Phillies. He was a solid player in 2023, slashing .275/.325/.444 with 16 home runs in a home park that was very tough against right-handed hitters. He could be in for a nice rebound year in Great American Ballpark and is worth an add in five-outfielder leagues if you need help at the position.

New York Mets relief pitcher Edwin Diaz picked up his fourth save of the season on Thursday in a 4-1 win over the Cardinals. He struck out two and walked one in a scoreless ninth inning. It was his second straight scoreless outing since he gave up five combined runs in appearances on April 9 and April 11. His ERA still sits at an ugly 5.87 from those two outings and his six walks in 7 innings is less than ideal, but he remains one of the best closers for fantasy. He pitches on one of the best teams in baseball and remains elite at striking guys out, having 11 strikeouts so far in 2025.

Texas Rangers relief pitcher Robert Garcia earned his first save of the year on Thursday in a 5-3 win over the Angels. He struck out one as part of a scoreless ninth inning where he didn't allow any baserunners. Luke Jackson was unavailable after pitching the past two days, which is what opened up the opportunity for Garcia. He's been very effective to start the season, allowing only two runs in his nine innings pitched with eight strikeouts and three walks. While he won't get enough saves to be relevant in standard leagues, he is a very valuable reliever wherever holds matter.

Tampa Bay Rays third baseman Junior Caminero stayed hot in a 6-3 loss to the New York Yankees on Thursday. Caminero went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer in the loss. The 21-year-old infielder is off to a hot start this season, hitting .288 with five homers, 13 runs, and 11 RBI across 66 at-bats. Caminero is emerging as a quality fantasy hitter early in the season and should have a spot in most starting lineups moving forward as he appears to be in the early stages of a breakout season.

Baltimore Orioles outfielder Ryan O'Hearn had a big night in a 6-2 win over the Cleveland Guardians on Thursday. O'Hearn went 2-for-3 with a three-run homer to help propel Baltimore to the win in the series finale. His homer came in the third inning and gave the Orioles a 4-2 lead, which was all they would need to down Cleveland. O'Hearn is hitting .326 with three homers, eight runs, five RBI, and one steal across 46 at-bats. He is worth a starting spot in deeper fantasy leagues while he's going well at the plate.
