Detroit Tigers left-hander Brant Hurter picked up a save in his team's 5-0 win over the New York Yankees on Tuesday. Hurter pitched the final three innings of the game while allowing no runs, walking one, and striking out three. The veteran hurler has now earned two saves this season, to go along with a 3.68 ERA and six strikeouts over 7 1/3 innings of work. Despite the two saves, Hurter is not the Tigers' primary closer, so he does not look like a priority waiver add at the moment.

Athletics outfielder JJ Bleday turned in a big game in a 10-4 win over the San Diego Padres on Tuesday. Bleday went 2-for-3 with a double, a homer, a walk, three runs, and three RBI to help power his team to the win. The veteran outfielder kicked off the scoring for the A's with a two-run double in the bottom of the first inning and followed that up with a solo homer in the seventh inning. Bleday will hope his big day will get his bat going as he is off to a slow start this season, hitting just .209 with one homer, nine runs, and four RBI through 43 at-bats.

Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Corbin Carroll went 2-for-3 with a homer and two runs scored in a 4-3 win over the Baltimore Orioles on Tuesday. Carroll tied the game up at 2-2 with his solo homer in the second inning, a shot that traveled 401 feet with an exit velocity of 106.9 MPH. The veteran outfielder is off to a fast start in 2025, hitting .304 with four homers, nine runs, and seven RBI through 46 at-bats. While he is still looking for his first stolen base, Carroll stole a combined 89 bags over his previous two seasons, so they should eventually come. He remains an everyday starter in all fantasy leagues.

Cincinnati Reds left-hander Nick Lodolo turned in a quality start in a 1-0 win over the San Francisco Giants on Tuesday. Lodolo threw six innings of shutout ball while striking out three, walking one, and allowing just three hits to improve his record to 2-1 on the year. While the strikeouts weren't there for the 27-year-old hurler, he was able to offset that by earning the win in the start. Lodolo has allowed just two earned runs over his first three starts, spanning 18 2/3 innings of work. Thanks to his strong start to the season, Lodolo has worked his way into the conversation as a solid fantasy starting pitcher moving forward. Lodolo is slated to make his next start against the Seattle Mariners on Tuesday.

Milwaukee Brewers catcher William Contreras picked up a pair of hits to help lead his team to a 7-1 win over the Colorado Rockies on Tuesday. Contreras went 2-for-4 with a homer, two runs, and two RBI in the game. The veteran catcher picked up an RBI single in the third inning and followed that up with a solo homer in the seventh. Contreras is off to a slow start in 2025, hitting just .143 with one homer, six runs, and two RBI through 35 at-bats. He will hope his big night at the plate on Tuesday will get his bat going.
