New York Mets designated hitter J.D. Martinez continued his solid offensive season in Monday's 9-7 extra-innings win over the Nationals. Martinez went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run, two walks, and two strikeouts. The 37-year-old broke the 10th-inning tie, taking Hunter Harvey deep over the center-field wall. Martinez has continued to provide consistent fantasy results despite his age and is now slashing .278/.360/.493 with 10 HR, 22 runs scored, and 37 RBI in 239 plate appearances. His utility-only eligibility slightly limits his fantasy value, but his power production and batting average are worth rostering in all fantasy formats.

Washington Nationals starting pitcher MacKenzie Gore turned in a solid rebound start but came away with a no-decision in Monday's 9-7 extra-innings loss to the Mets. Gore pitched 5 2/3 innings, allowing one run on five hits and a walk with eight strikeouts. The 25-year-old has yielded encouraging results this season, going 6-7 with a 3.47 ERA, a 10.62 K/9 rate, and a 2.88 BB9 rate in 17 starts and 90 2/3 IP. Gore has started showing more consistently why he was a former top fantasy prospect. He should have a chance for another solid outing in his next scheduled start against the Cardinals.

Milwaukee Brewers catcher/designated hitter William Contreras continued his solid offensive season in Monday's 8-7 extra-innings loss to the Rockies. Contreras went 3-for-5 with a single, a double, a solo home run, and a strikeout. Contreras took Austin Gomber deep to the opposite field in the fifth inning, putting a ball just over the right-field fence. The 26-year-old has been a top fantasy catcher option this season, slashing .296/.355/.451 with 10 HR, 59 runs scored, 51 RBI, and five stolen bases in 369 plate appearances. His high average and power provide great ratios, and his ample playing time should continue to help him stand out in counting stats. He has been a high-end fantasy option in general, not just relative to his position.

Detroit Tigers second base prospect Jace Jung (wrist) began his rehab assignment at Single-A Lakeland on Monday. Jung went 0-for-1 with a pair of walks in the contest. The Tigers No. 3 prospect and 42nd overall ranked prospect, per MLB Pipeline has been sidelined since June 20 with right wrist soreness. Jung will return to Triple-A Toledo when he is completes his rehab assignment. For Toledo this season, Jung has hit .270 with 11 home runs and 41 RBI. The Tigers offense has struggled for the most part this season and it wouldn't be a surprise to see Jung make his big-league debut this summer. He should be rostered in dynasty leagues and would be worth a flier in redraft leagues, if he were to get promoted.

Colorado Rockies outfield prospect Yanquiel Fernandez continued his strong season by going 2-for-5 with a pair of runs and a two-run home run on Monday. Fernandez, 21, is the 67th ranked prospect per MLB Pipeline rankings and he has backed that up by hitting .269 with seven home runs and 39 RBI over 219 at-bats this season. Fernandez offers tons of raw power from the left side of the plate, but still needs to work on his aggressiveness at the plate. The outfielder should be rostered in dynasty formats with his power likely to translate in a big way at Coors Field when he eventually makes his big-league debut, which could come as soon as 2025.
