Blake Mitchell Hits Homer For Single-A Columbia

Kansas City Royals catcher prospect Blake Mitchell was 2-for-4 with a solo home run on Wednesday for Single-A Columbia. The 19-year-old has adapted nicely to Single-A this season with 10 homers and 30 RBI to go with 18 stolen bases. Kansas City's top overall prospect is a two-time Gatorade Player of the Year in Texas for Sinton High School. He has the tools to be a fantasy star at the catcher position but is a long way away from making an impact with the Royals. For now, he is a dynasty league target and a high-priority name to file away and monitor as he progresses through the Royals' farm system.

Camilo Doval Notches 14th Save

San Francisco Giants closer Camilo Doval pitched a scoreless ninth inning to nail down the victory and pick up the save in Wednesday's 4-3 win over the Cubs. It was Doval's 14th save of the year. While it was his fifth straight conversion, he has had some rough outings this season including a non-save situation on June 16 in which he allowed four earned runs on four hits and two walks, with that outing marking the second time this season he's allowed four earned runs in an appearance. As such, the 26-year-old is sporting a 4.40 ERA, 1.60 WHIP, and 12.0% K-BB% on the season.

Walker Jenkins Drives In Four Runs For Single-A Fort Myers

Minnesota Twins outfield prospect Walker Jenkins had two hits and drove in four runs for Single-A Fort Myers on Wednesday. The No. 1 overall prospect in the Twins' system is hitting just .233 in June for Fort Myers with one homer and 19 RBI. The productive game on Wednesday is a good sign for Jenkins, who is a premium outfield prospect. The 19-year-old has a powerful left-handed swing and is swift on the basepaths. Jenkins' progress this season was stalled by an early-season hamstring injury. He has had most of this month at Fort Myers to get back in the groove a bit. Look for big things from the youngster who is a name to file away in redraft leagues.

Sterlin Thompson Mashes Homer For Double-A Hartford

Colorado Rockies infield/outfield prospect Sterlin Thompson was 2-for-5 with a home run and two RBI for Double-A Hartford on Wednesday. Thompson has three home runs this month to go with seven RBI and is hitting .164. The Rockies' No. 5 prospect is struggling in June with an on-base percentage of just .208. The 23-year-old University of Florida prospect hit .293 last year across two levels but is hitting just .231 at Double-A this year. He has the pedigree to be a future big-league contributor but might just be adjusting slowly to a new level. He will look to build off Wednesday's performance.

Coby Mayo Cruising In Return To Triple-A Norfolk

Baltimore Orioles third base prospect Coby Mayo was 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI for Triple-A Norfolk on Wednesday. Mayo continues to crush the ball in his return from a rib injury in June. Since returning to Triple-A on June 18, Mayo is 11-for-28 with three homers and six RBI. The No. 3 prospect in a loaded Orioles' system, Mayo could be the latest Baltimore stud prospect to debut with the major league club. When he does debut for the Orioles, he will be someone fantasy managers want to rush to the waiver wire to add. His power profile suggests he will be an immediate contributor upon his call-up. He is one of the best stashes in redraft leagues ahead of his inevitable promotion.
