One of my favorite things in DFS is the opportunity to try a new outlet. Diversifying where you play is key to building a bankroll. That type of opportunity is exactly what we get today with our new friends at StatHero!

In short, StatHero offers fantasy players two ways to play. A revolutionary DFS Sportsbook, and a fantasy-based survivor pool. The app doesn’t pit players against players, you’re always playing against StatHero. For a more in-depth look at what StatHero has to offer, check out this app review from FTN’s Tyler Loechner.

StatHero NBA Picks for Tonight

Here’s a look at my favorite plays for tonight’s slate on StatHero.

StatHero MVP picks

Your MVP will score 1.5x the fantasy points. Working within the salary cap is obviously a factor, but there’s only a few players I am considering for MVP tonight. My favorite is Karl-Anthony Towns facing off against a Pacers frontcourt that could be missing both Myles Turner and Domantas Sabonis. If you want to avoid KAT you can certainly look to (real-life) MVP favorite Nikola Jokic against the Spurs, or Russell Westbrook. He may have Bradley Beal back alongside him in the rotation, but that doesn’t worry me too much in terms of his projection.

StatHero FLEX picks

Trae Young feels a bit too cheap at $11,400 against the Grizzlies. On the other side of the ball, Ja Morant looks like a strong play for his $9,400 price tag tonight in a great matchup against the Hawks, who could be without Clint Capela. If Brandon Ingram and Kira Lewis remain out for the Pelicans, then Lonzo Ball becomes a strong play against Brooklyn for just $8,900. Moses Brown for $8,200 against Charlotte is a very solid play for a midrange price point. Getting down into the value range I have interest in Theo Maledon for $5,700 and I’m looking to Alex Len as a near-lock at a mere $3,300 if Robin Lopez is ruled out.

StatHero sleeper picks

If the Pacers are without the services of the aforementioned Sabonis and Turner, Goga Bitadze becomes a very interesting value play for me at just $3,800. Clint Capela and Danillo Gallinari are both questionable for Atlanta, and their absences would put Onyeka Okongwu and Nathan Knight into play.
