A few days after trading for Trent Brown from the Raiders, the New England Patriots reportedly traded away RT Marcus Cannon Sunday to the Houston Texans, according to Boston Globe’s Jim McBride. The trade also involves the team’s swapping picks in the fourth, fifth and sixth rounds.

Cannon had been with the Patriots since they selected him in the fifth round of the 2011 draft. He was a second-team All Pro in 2016 and was part of three different New England Super Bowl champion teams. He opted out of the 2020 season due to COVID-19 concerns.
