The FTN team uses the Week 6 fantasy football game-by-game to identify some of the key player props to bet on in this week’s Jaguars/Colts game.
Indianapolis (2-2-1) will look for revenge against AFC South rival Jacksonville (2-3) Sunday at 1 p.m. ET at Lucas Oil Stadium. The Colts are coming off a shocking 12-9 OT win over the Broncos last Thursday Night, while the Jaguars are on a two-game losing streak to Philadelphia and Houston.
Indianapolis Colts vs. Jacksonville Jaguars Player Prop Bets
Travis Etienne, RB, Jacksonville Jaguars
Over the last two weeks, Travis Etienne has logged 51% and 53% of the offensive snaps, compared to 47% and 40% for James Robinson. Etienne was involved early against the Texans last week, seeing four touches on Jacksonville’s first three drives, breaking off plays of 18, 30 and 20 yards. Robinson has had a few great fantasy outings this season but over the course of the year, Etienne has been more efficient, averaging 6.2 yards per touch, a top-five mark among all running backs…The Colts are coughing up the fifth-most receptions (6.0), third-most receiving yards (54.8) and eighth-most targets (7.2) per game to opposing backfields.
Pick: Travis Etienne Over 54.5 Rushing + Receiving Yards
We do not currently have a line on Travis Etienne’s receiving yards, so I’ll pivot to his combined rushing + receiving yardage prop on DraftKings Sportsbook. Etienne’s increasing role and efficiency has him primed to be a major part of the Jacksonville offense regardless of gamescript.
Alec Pierce, WR, Indianapolis Colts
Pierce has now eclipsed 60 yards in each of his last three games, including 80 receiving yards in back-to-back outings. Pierce has seen a solid 20 targets over the last three weeks and has clearly cemented himself as the WR2 in Indianapolis.
Pick: Alec Pierce to Score a Touchdown
Quarterback Matt Ryan’s trust in Alec Pierce has grown, and with run-stopping defensive tackle Foley Fatukasi expected to return after a two-game absence, Pierce’s +400 value to score a touchdown on FanDuel Sportsbook is certainly worth a sprinkle. Jonathan Taylor and Nyheim Hines have been ruled out, providing more opportunity to hit this touchdown prop.
Trevor Lawrence, QB, Jacksonville Jaguars
Indianapolis is also a zone-heavy team, and Trevor Lawrence has been better against zone defense this season, sporting a 90.4 passer rating against zone coverage, compared to a 78.3 passer rating against man, according to Player Profiler. It is also possible that the Jaguars struggle to establish much production on the ground, facing a pass funnel Colts defense. 69.1% of the yardage allowed by the Colts this year has come through the air (11th most), while 70% of the touchdowns allowed by this defense has been via the pass (seventh).
Pick: Trevor Lawrence Over 21.5 Passing Completions
Trevor Lawrence has beat this number in four of Jacksonville’s five games, including 25 completions against the Colts at home in a 24-0 blowout. This game projects much closer, and Lawrence should find easy connections to Etienne and Christian Kirk against the Indianapolis zone. This number is a 22.5 with heavy juice to the over at most books.
