Week 15 NFL Moneyline Underdogs

That Ladd McConkey injury really hurt our FTN Fantasy moneyline underdog pick for Week 14. Los Angeles put forth a brilliant performance despite being without McConkey and lead running back J.K. Dobbins, but Kansas City’s late-game magic was on display again, this time with a crossbar-induced game-winning field goal.

We turn the page to Week 15 to restart our hot moneyline stream from just three weeks ago. Each week, I will give you my favorite moneyline underdogs who I believe have the best chance to pull the outright upset. These are high-risk plays for a reason — they will not hit at a normal rate. However, when they do hit, we often get enough of a payout to keep our bankroll replenished.

There won’t be a fixed number of games. It could be one, two or even three underdogs I like for the week. Here’s a look at my favorite moneyline underdog for Week 15 of the 2024 season.

Week 15 NFL Moneyline Underdogs

Steelers +5 at Eagles

(+200, DraftKings Sportsbook)

All is not right with the Eagles, as their narrow 22-16 escape at home to the Panthers revealed. Enter a Pittsburgh Steelers team that is the complete opposite of Philadelphia, and we have the perfect moneyline underdog recipe.

The Steelers are always a great underdog bet with Mike Tomlin as head coach. Pittsburgh is an impressive 62-35-5 (64%) as an underdog since Tomlin’s first year in 2007. Since 2018, the Steelers are 31-24 (56.4%) straight up as an underdog, second only to Kansas City (12-6) during that time.

To win in Philadelphia, a team needs to have a strong defense. The Steelers rank eighth-best in defensive DVOA, and have averaged 2.7 sacks per game over their last three contests. The Panthers provided a schematic on how to limit an Eagles passing attack that will again be without starting tight end Dallas Goedert. Pittsburgh can replicate that effort, with a much stronger run defense than Carolina. Pittsburgh limits their turnovers and has enough offensive weapons in Najee Harris, Jaylen Warren and George Pickens (hopefully) to attack this Eagles defense in multiple ways.

The Steelers are a perfect 5-0 ATS as an underdog this year and have too much value as an underdog in this spot. My favorite moneyline underdog play has always been Pittsburgh, and we go back to Mike Tomlin on the road in Week 15 yet again.
