Rachaad White Remains A Flex Option

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Rachaad White was able to salvage his fantasy value with a trip to the end zone last week. White only saw three rushing attempts for 19 yards and a score during last week's loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. He also hauled in three receptions for an extra 16 yards through the air. It was an extremely quiet night for White outside of the touchdown. The Bucs have gone to a committee approach at running back, which has meant less rushing attempts for White. Lately, White has been able to save his value in the receiving game, but fantasy managers can't always count on that. Fantasy managers should consider White a flex option for the upcoming Week 10 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers.

Baker Mayfield Gets Another Tough Challenge

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield (toe) is good to go ahead of the Week 10 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers. Mayfield missed the first two days of practice this week, but has now been removed from the injury report. The expectation is that Mayfield's performance would take a significant hit without his two top wide receivers. Instead, Mayfield has thrown five touchdowns with over 500 passing yards in those two contests. The 49ers secondary is no easy challenge, but Mayfield is not someone to bet against this season. Fantasy managers can continue plugging him in as a QB1 until he gives us reason not to.

Mike Evans Ruled Out For Week 10

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans (hamstring) will not suit up in Week 10, according to Greg Auman of Fox Sports. Evans has been sidelined since suffering an injury in their Week 7 loss to the Baltimore Ravens and he will now miss his third straight contest. During this week, Evans was unable to participate in any practices. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status, as he should have a good chance to return in Week 12 to face the New York Giants after a bye in Week 11. Before the injury, the veteran wideout averaged 47.9 yards per game and scored six touchdowns across a seven-game sample size. This weekend, fantasy managers should expect tight end Cade Otton to see a heavy dose of targets, as rookie wideout Jalen McMillan (hamstring) will likely carry an injury designation.

Bucky Irving Limited Again On Thursday

Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie running back Bucky Irving (toe) remained a limited participant in Thursday's practice. Irving is dealing with a toe injury that he could have to manage for the rest of his first season the NFL, but he should be good to play this Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 10. Tampa's three-headed backfield that also includes Rachaad White and Sean Tucker limits Irving's weekly upside as an RB3/flex. However, the 22-year-old has the most fantasy upside of the trio and is extremely dangerous in space as a runner and pass-catcher. With receiver Mike Evans (hamstring) expected to miss a third straight game this weekend and with Chris Godwin (ankle) out for the year, look for Tampa to try and lean more heavily on their trio of RBs against San Francisco. Irving has averaged 5.0 yards per carry and 7.6 yards per catch in his nine games in 2024.

Jalen McMillan, Sterling Shepard Still Not Practicing

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers could be in dire straights at the wide receiver position in Week 10 against the San Francisco 49ers. Mike Evans (hamstring) is likely to miss his third straight game, Chris Godwin (ankle) is out for the year, and Jalen McMillan (hamstring) and Sterling Shepard (hamstring, hip) are in danger of sitting out this weekend after two straight missed practices on Wednesday and Thursday. McMillan didn't play in the Week 9 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. If neither McMillan nor Shepard are able to play this Sunday, Trey Palmer and Marquez Valdes-Scantling would be quarterback Baker Mayfield's (toe) top receiving targets, as well as tight end Cade Otton, who has gone off the last several weeks with Evans and Godwin out. Check back on Friday for more clarity on McMillan's and Shepard's statuses.
