Kenneth Walker III Considered Day-To-Day

Seattle Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald said that running back Kenneth Walker III (calf) is considered day-to-day. There have been positive signs for Walker, and his injury isn't considered long-term. Walker will not undergo anymore tests, which will give him a chance to play in Week 15 against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday Night Football after he was inactive for the Week 14 win over the division-rival Arizona Cardinals. The 24-year-old's availability for this Sunday will likely come down to how much he can do in practice this week, so check back on his status. Seattle shouldn't be in a rush to get him back on the field after backup Zach Charbonnet went off for 137 rushing yards and two touchdowns while adding seven receptions for 59 yards last week against Arizona. If Walker does return to face the Packers, he'll be a much riskier RB2 in fantasy at risk of losing more touches to Charbonnet.

Cooper Kupp Is A Strong WR2 Against San Francisco

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp is in a tough matchup in a divisional road game on Thursday Night Football against the 49ers. He had a good game last week with seven catches on seven targets for 80 yards and a touchdown. That total was a big bounce-back performance for Kupp after he totaled just 77 yards in his two previous games. He is averaging 9.3 targets per game in his last six games and has scored four touchdowns in his last four games, so he does have potential WR1 upside if he finds the end zone. However, he's clearly behind Puka Nacua in terms of targets in the Rams' offense, and with all 32 teams in play, he ranks outside the top 10 this week against the 49ers, who have allowed the fourth-fewest points to wide receivers this season.

Drew Lock In Walking Boot, Tommy DeVito Expected To Start On Sunday

New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll said that quarterback Drew Lock (heel) is dealing with a heel injury and is in a walking boot. As a result, Tommy DeVito is expected to make the start this Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 15. DeVito made his first start of the year in the Week 12 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and underwhelmed, going 21-for-31 for 189 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions. He also picked up a right-forearm injury and was inactive the following week. Lock similarly underwhelmed in his two starts at QB and is now banged up, so the G-Men will turn back to DeVito, who is apparently recovered from his forearm injury. The Ravens defense has allowed lots of big plays in the passing game this year, but it's unclear if DeVito and the Giants offense will be able to take advantage. At best, DeVito is a desperation low-end QB2 option in superflex fantasy leagues.UPDATE: Lock didn't practice on Wednesday.

Seahawks Unsure On Kenneth Walker III's Status

Seattle Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald said the team is unsure on the status of running back Kenneth Walker III's (calf) heading into a Week 15 date with the Green Bay Packers. The Seahawks were having tests done on Walker's calf on Monday and they are hoping to know more in the coming days after the lead back was inactive for the Week 14 win over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday. Seattle probably isn't in any rush to bring the 24-year-old back if he's not ready after backup Zach Charbonnet stepped in for 29 touches, 193 scrimmage yards and two rushing touchdowns against Arizona on an 80% snap share with Walker out. Walker is no longer dealing with an ankle issue, but it remains to be seen if he'll be active this weekend against Green Bay. And if Walker does return, fantasy managers probably shouldn't be surprised if he shares more work with Charbonnet after his big Week 14 performance.

Drew Lock To Start In Week 15 If He's Healthy

New York Giants quarterback Drew Lock (undisclosed) will start under center in Week 15 against the Baltimore Ravens unless he's not physically able to play, according to head coach Brian Daboll. It's unclear what exactly is wrong with Lock, but he's undergoing evaluation and testing on Monday after losing to the New Orleans Saints on Sunday in his second straight start. The 28-year-old was extremely underwhelming in Week 14, going 21-for-49 passing for 227 yards with an interception in a 14-11 loss, while also coming out of the contest beat up. Despite two underwhelming performances from Lock, the G-Men are sticking with him over Tommy DeVito (forearm), who is nursing a right-forearm injury. The former second-round pick by the Denver Broncos in 2019 out of Missouri has completed only 51.85% of his passes the last two weeks. Fantasy managers in superflex leagues can only hope for some garbage-time production out of Lock if he faces the Ravens this week.
