Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Joshua Palmer could have some fantasy value in a Week 14 Sunday Night Football matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs. Palmer hasn't done much this season, peaking with a WR22 finish in Week 9 and finishing as a top-36 option at his position only twice. But this week, with Ladd McConkey (knee/shoulder) questionable and possibly limited if he plays, Palmer could see a more important role in the passing game. The Chiefs defense is elite against running plays but has struggled against outside wide receivers, especially recently. If McConkey doesn't play, Palmer could be a deep league FLEX option.
Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Joshua Palmer made just one catch in a Week 13 win over the Atlanta Falcons. Palmer saw just one target thrown his way and turned it into an 11-yard catch. Those 11 yards were good enough for third on the team in receiving yards in a game where the Chargers pass game focused in on rookie Ladd McConkey (knee). Palmer should see at least a few more targets next week against the Kansas City Chiefs, especially if McConkey is forced to miss time.
Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Joshua Palmer played his biggest role in a Week 12 loss to the Baltimore Ravens and will try to maintain that role in Week 13 when the Bolts face the Atlanta Falcons. In Week 12, Palmer set season highs in snap percentage (83%) and targets (eight). He was only able to turn that into three catches for 38 yards, but the higher usage was certainly encouraging. In Week 13, he will face a Falcons defense that has struggled against opposing wide receivers. With starting running back J.K. Dobbins (knee) out for the game, the Chargers may rely more on the passing game, giving Palmer a similar workload as last week. He has a low floor, but a moderately decent ceiling compared to others ranked in the WR4/5 neighborhood.
Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Joshua Palmer was heavily involved in a Week 12 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Despite the heavy involvement, he was unable to do much with it. He led the team with eight targets but made only three catches, totaling 38 yards. Palmer was used as a deep threat in this one but seemed completely unable to get any separation in the Ravens secondary, despite drawing one-on-one coverage several times. The Ravens came into this game as one of the worst defenses in the NFL against boundary wide receivers, but Palmer was still unable to put together a good game. He'll remain off the fantasy radar in Week 13 when the Chargers face the Atlanta Falcons.
Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Joshua Palmer is not a good fantasy option in Week 12 lineups despite a great matchup against the Baltimore Ravens. Palmer put up a WR2 performance in Week 9 but has otherwise been outside of the top 24 fantasy wide receivers every week this season. The Ravens secondary struggles mightily against wide receivers (they've allowed the most fantasy points and the most yards to outside pass catchers), but Palmer just isn't involved enough in the passing game to be anything more than a touchdown-dependent dart throw in deep leagues.
