Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Jahan Dotson will face off against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 10. The 24-year-old saw a few more snaps than usual last week after A.J. Brown went out with a knee injury, but only managed to have one target, which he caught for a 36-yard gain. Brown and DeVonta Smith managed injuries in practice this week, but both were a full go on Friday and were left off of the final injury report. The matchup should not scare you, but Dallas is middle of the pack against opposing wide receivers in fantasy points allowed and Dotson is not seeing enough target involvement to warrant starting. His role could increase if Brown or Smith miss time, but unless that happens, Dotson is better left on benches in all formats.
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Jahan Dotson caught his lone target for a 36-yard gain during the team's 28-23 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. The catch came in the second half after A.J. Brown (knee) left the game early in the third quarter. It was an impressive grab near the sideline but it is just his seventh reception of the year through nine weeks. There have been plenty of chances for the former Washington Commander to stand out in this offense, but quarterback Jalen Hurts does not look his way at the moment. He will remain waiver wire fodder in redraft leagues and a hold in dynasty heading into Week 10.
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Jahan Dotson caught two of his four targets for 11 yards during the team's 33-16 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The former first-round pick had yet another shot to break out or even prove he belongs as the No. 3 receiver in Philadelphia, but again came up short. None of the Eagles' wide receivers did much in this contest, as they combined for just 34 yards while tight end Dallas Goedert nearly doubled their total on his own. The bye week could not have come at a better time for the Eagles, as they should enter Week 6 with their top targets A.J. Brown (hamstring) and DeVonta Smith (concussion) for their game against the Cleveland Browns. Dotson should be ignored in all redraft leagues for the time being.
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Jahan Dotson will go on the road to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 4. The 24-year-old has been quiet through three weeks, amassing just three receptions for 14 yards. While he has come along slow as he learns the Eagles offensive system, he has increased his snap percentage each week, ending last week with 88%. However, Dotson failed to impress with no A.J. Brown (hamstring) last week, but now has the chance to step up against with DeVonta Smith (concussion) ruled out and Brown questionable. Rookie Johnny Wilson is another name that will see an increase in usage, but Dotson is the one who is expected to be the No. 2 receiver if Brown is active and the top one if Brown sits out again. The matchup shouldn't scare anyone away for fantasy purposes, but because no wide receiver outside of Brown and Smith has done anything this year thus far, the former Washington Commander is tough to trust. If Brown is out, Dotson turns into a risky flex play, while he remains a WR4/5 if Brown is active.
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Jahan Dotson caught two of three targets for a gain of eight yards during the team's 15-12 win over the New Orleans Saints. The former Washington Commander has done nothing of note in Philly up to this point and even with an increased chance for more looks due to A.J. Brown (hamstring) sitting out and DeVonta Smith (concussion) leaving early, Dotson did nothing in this game. The 24-year-old can be sent to the waiver wire and ignored even with the potential of Brown and Smith missing in Week 4 against the Buccaneers. Until Dotson shows us something, he can be ignored and benched in dynasty formats too.
