Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Gabe Davis (knee) was listed as limited for the team's first practice of the week on Wednesday. Davis has been limited in practices now due to his knee injury for three weeks, but he hasn't missed any games and should be fine to suit up this Sunday against the Green Bay Packers in Week 8. The 25-year-old had a season-high five catches on a season-high eight targets for 45 yards and his first two touchdowns of the year in the Week 6 loss to the Chicago Bears in London but followed it up with one catch for 13 yards in last week's win over the New England Patriots in London. Rookie Brian Thomas Jr. has been Jacksonville's only real reliable fantasy weapon for the Jaguars this year at wideout. The Packers have been middle of the pack this year in terms of fantasy points allowed to receivers. Consider Davis a boom/bust WR5/flex in Week 8.
Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Gabe Davis was targeted twice during Sunday's Week 7 win over the New England Patriots in London. He finished with just one catch for 13 yards, representing a massive step backward from Week 6 when he totaled five catches, 45 yards, and two touchdowns. Brian Thomas Jr. and Evan Engram have cemented themselves as Trevor Lawrence's favorite targets, leaving Davis and Christian Kirk fighting for the scraps in Jacksonville's passing attack. Neither Davis nor Kirk are dependable fantasy options when the Jaguars return stateside to face a tough Green Bay Packers secondary in Week 8.
Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Gabe Davis (knee) continues to put in limited practices, with his second straight limited showing this week on Thursday. Davis was also limited in practice last week before suiting up against the Chicago Bears and having the best game of the season, catching five of a season-high eight targets for 45 yards and his first two touchdowns of 2024. It could have been an even bigger day for the 25-year-old pass-catcher, but he dropped two more potential touchdowns. Fantasy managers shouldn't read too much into Davis' two-touchdown performance with the Jags in comeback mode for most of the contest against Chicago. He should be just fine to play this Sunday against the New England Patriots in London, where he should be considered a touchdown-dependent WR5/flex in what has been an inconsistent Jaguars offense.
Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Gabe Davis (knee) was officially listed as a limited participant on Wednesday. The 25-year-old was dealing with a knee issue ahead of Week 6, but it didn't stop him from suiting up against the Chicago Bears in London. He proved to be one of the Jaguars' few bright spots, catching five of eight targets for 45 yards and two touchdowns. It's unclear whether Davis' expanded role and production are here to say, but last Sunday's performance at least provides managers with some reasons to be optimistic. He's back on the fantasy radar as a WR4 or WR5 heading into Week 7 versus the New England Patriots.
Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Gabe Davis posted his best game of the season in a 35-16 loss to the Chicago Bears. In the Jaguars' first of two London games, Davis posted five receptions for 45 yards and two touchdowns on eight targets. He was the second-most targeted pass-catcher on the team behind only Evan Engram. Three of his eight targets were in the red zone which is the most he's received in a single game so far this year. Davis and the Jaguars will stick around in England until they play the New England Patriots in Week 7.
