A.J. Brown Ready To Go For Week 6

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown (hamstring) is ready to make his return to the field in Week 6 as the Eagles host the Browns on Sunday. The 27-year-old suffered a hamstring injury after the season's first game and has been sidelined since. With the early bye week, there was optimism that Brown had enough time to rest and return this weekend, and the Eagles made that official on Friday. DeVonta Smith (concussion) will also be good to go after clearing the concussion protocol this week, giving Philadelphia and quarterback Jalen Hurts their top two receiving options back. Cleveland is giving up nearly 30 fantasy points per game to the wide receiver position through five weeks and has been a mess the last three weeks. Fantasy managers can treat Brown as a top-five option in his return to the field this weekend.

A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith Practice In Full Again On Thursday

Philadelphia Eagles wide receivers A.J. Brown (hamstring) and DeVonta Smith (concussion) are both on track to return to action in Week 6 against the Cleveland Browns after putting in a second straight day with a full practice on Thursday. Brown hasn't played since catching half of his 10 targets for 119 yards and a touchdown in the Week 1 win over the Green Bay Packers in Brazil, but he's made nice progress coming out of the bye week and should be returned to all starting fantasy lineups for a tilt against Cleveland this Sunday in Philly. Smith suffered a concussion in Week 3 and was held out of the Week 4 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He, too, should be returned to all fantasy lineups, although he still needs to gain final clearance from the concussion protocol. The return of both Brown and Smith is bad news for tight end Dallas Goedert but is great news for quarterback Jalen Hurts' fantasy value.

DeVonta Smith Practicing On Wednesday

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith (concussion) will practice on Wednesday, according to Jeff McLane of the Inquirer. McLane further noted that the 25-year-old is still in the concussion protocol but still has time to be cleared before Sunday's game versus the Cleveland Browns. The former first-round pick suffered a concussion in Week 3 against the New Orleans Saints. Before the injury, Smith caught at least seven passes in the first three weeks and averaged 79.7 yards per game with one total score. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status throughout the week. If Smith can suit up, he should be viewed as a low-end WR1 against the Browns, who have allowed the 21st-most points to opposing wideouts.UPDATE: Smith was a full-go on Wednesday.

A.J. Brown Seen Practicing On Wednesday

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown (hamstring) was seen at Wednesday's practice, according to Brooks Kubena of The Athletic. This is a great sign, as Brown missed the past three games due to a hamstring injury after injuring his hamstring during a Week 2 practice. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor the 27-year-old's status throughout the week, but seeing him at practice early in the week is promising. In the season opener, Brown caught five of his ten targets for 119 yards and a score. If Brown can suit up on Sunday, he should be viewed as a high-end WR1 facing the Cleveland Browns.UPDATE: Brown practiced in full Wednesday.

Devonta Smith, AJ Brown Expected To Return Week 6

According to NFL Insider James Palmer, the Philadelphia Eagles expect superstar wide receivers A.J. Brown (hamstring) and DeVonta Smith (concussion) to return to action in Week 6. It's excellent news for the Eagles and fantasy managers. Brown has been on the shelf since a five-catch, 119-yard performance in Week 1 after popping up later that week with a hamstring issue, and Smith since Week 4 when he was forced from Philly's loss to the Buccaneers -- failing to record a target. They'll be a welcome sight for quarterback Jalen Hurts, who struggled to get much going down both athletes when the team fell to Tampa Bay 33-16. The wideouts will immediately slot back into their elite WR1 and high-end WR2 roles in the Eagles' offense, providing a significant boost to the team when Philadelphia hosts the visiting Cleveland Browns this coming Sunday. Fantasy managers can confidently return them to their starting lineups.
