DeVonta Smith Practicing On Wednesday

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith (concussion) will practice on Wednesday, according to Jeff McLane of the Inquirer. McLane further noted that the 25-year-old is still in the concussion protocol but still has time to be cleared before Sunday's game versus the Cleveland Browns. The former first-round pick suffered a concussion in Week 3 against the New Orleans Saints. Before the injury, Smith caught at least seven passes in the first three weeks and averaged 79.7 yards per game with one total score. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status throughout the week. If Smith can suit up, he should be viewed as a low-end WR1 against the Browns, who have allowed the 21st-most points to opposing wideouts.UPDATE: Smith was a full-go on Wednesday.

A.J. Brown Seen Practicing On Wednesday

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown (hamstring) was seen at Wednesday's practice, according to Brooks Kubena of The Athletic. This is a great sign, as Brown missed the past three games due to a hamstring injury after injuring his hamstring during a Week 2 practice. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor the 27-year-old's status throughout the week, but seeing him at practice early in the week is promising. In the season opener, Brown caught five of his ten targets for 119 yards and a score. If Brown can suit up on Sunday, he should be viewed as a high-end WR1 facing the Cleveland Browns.UPDATE: Brown practiced in full Wednesday.

Devonta Smith, AJ Brown Expected To Return Week 6

According to NFL Insider James Palmer, the Philadelphia Eagles expect superstar wide receivers A.J. Brown (hamstring) and DeVonta Smith (concussion) to return to action in Week 6. It's excellent news for the Eagles and fantasy managers. Brown has been on the shelf since a five-catch, 119-yard performance in Week 1 after popping up later that week with a hamstring issue, and Smith since Week 4 when he was forced from Philly's loss to the Buccaneers -- failing to record a target. They'll be a welcome sight for quarterback Jalen Hurts, who struggled to get much going down both athletes when the team fell to Tampa Bay 33-16. The wideouts will immediately slot back into their elite WR1 and high-end WR2 roles in the Eagles' offense, providing a significant boost to the team when Philadelphia hosts the visiting Cleveland Browns this coming Sunday. Fantasy managers can confidently return them to their starting lineups.

A.J. Brown Hopeful To Return After Bye Week

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown (hamstring) missed his third game in a row on Sunday. Brown missed most of practice last week before returning for a limited session on Friday. The team ultimately held him out for the Week 4 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Luckily, the Eagles have a bye in Week 5 and Brown's injury is not considered to be a long term issue. The hope is that Brown can rest and prepare for their next matchup against the Cleveland Browns on October 13. That is nearly two weeks from now, so the assumption is that Brown should be able to get back on the field by then. When healthy, Brown is a stud and a must-start in fantasy leagues.

Jahan Dotson Falls Short Again

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Jahan Dotson caught two of his four targets for 11 yards during the team's 33-16 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The former first-round pick had yet another shot to break out or even prove he belongs as the No. 3 receiver in Philadelphia, but again came up short. None of the Eagles' wide receivers did much in this contest, as they combined for just 34 yards while tight end Dallas Goedert nearly doubled their total on his own. The bye week could not have come at a better time for the Eagles, as they should enter Week 6 with their top targets A.J. Brown (hamstring) and DeVonta Smith (concussion) for their game against the Cleveland Browns. Dotson should be ignored in all redraft leagues for the time being.
