AJ Dillon Expected To Return To Packers

Free-agent running back AJ Dillon is expected to re-sign with the Green Bay Packers on an undisclosed deal, pending a physical, according to sources. Dillon will return to the organization that selected him with their second-round pick in 2020 out of Boston College. The 25-year-old had more of an opportunity to pick up extra touches in Green Bay's backfield with Aaron Jones missing some time with injury, but he failed to take advantage of it and finished with a career-low 3.4 yards per carry on 178 rushing attempts. Dillon had a disappointing 613 rushing yards and only two touchdowns in 15 regular-season games (six starts). Jones is now in Minnesota, but Dillon will return to the Packers to play second fiddle to Josh Jacobs now.

Harrison Bryant Reaches Agreement With Raiders

Former Cleveland Browns tight end Harrison Bryant reached an agreement with the Las Vegas Raiders on Wednesday on a one-year, $3.25 million deal with a maximum value of $4 million, according to a source. Bryant was a fourth-round selection by the Browns in 2020 out of Florida Atlantic. The 25-year-old hasn't been on the fantasy radar at all, really, totaling 89 catches on 128 targets for 791 yards and 10 total touchdowns in his four seasons in Cleveland. With the move to Vegas, he'll be expected to serve as the No. 2 tight end behind second-year man Michael Mayer now that Austin Hooper moved on in free agency. In 17 regular-season games (nine starts) for the Browns in 2023, Bryant had a career-low 13 receptions for 81 yards and three touchdowns while working behind David Njoku.

Jake Elliott Agrees To Contract Extension With Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles are re-signing kicker Jake Elliott to a four-year, $24 million contract extension, as reported by ESPN's Adam Schefter. Elliott earned second-team All-Pro honors in 2023 after making 30 of his 32 field-goal attempts and 45 of his 46 extra points. His longest field goal of the year was from 61 yards. The 29-year-old finished tied for fifth among kickers in fantasy points per game (9.2) last year, and he should remain a top-12 fantasy kicker for years to come behind a strong Eagles offense. He is now tied with Justin Tucker as the highest-paid kicker based on average salary ($6 million).

AJ Dillon Has Several Options In Free Agency

Free-agent running back AJ Dillon has several options in free agency outside of the Green Bay Packers, with sources saying that he's looking at the New York Giants, Indianapolis Colts and Dallas Cowboys. The Giants lost Saquon Barkley to the division-rival Eagles, but they also recently added Devin Singletary to be their lead back. The Colts are looking for a complement to starter Jonathan Taylor after Zack Moss signed with the Bengals. The Cowboys, who lost Tony Pollard to the Titans, would be the best fit for Dillon from a playing-time perspective. the 25-year-old former second-round pick in 2020 out of Boston College had a career-low 3.4 yards per carry in 15 regular-season games for Green Bay last year and hasn't proven that he can handle a lead-back role in his four years in the NFL.

Saquon Barkley Joining Eagles

Free-agent running back Saquon Barkley is signing with the Philadelphia Eagles on a three-year, $37.75 million deal. The deal includes $26 million in guaranteed money and has an additional $9 million available in incentives. After a 2018 rookie season that saw the former Penn State star go for over 2,000 yards from scrimmage and 15 touchdowns, he has struggled to stay healthy over a chunk of the next five years of his career. He missed 21 games from 2019 to 2021. He bounced back in 2022 with 1,312 rushing yards but regressed to 962 yards in 14 games in 2023. However, the Eagles believe in him as a game-changing running back, as his average salary ($12.58 million) ranks only below Christian McCaffrey, Alvin Kamara, and Jonathan Taylor. Although the Eagles' offensive line could take a hit after the retirement of Jason Kelce, Barkley should be playing behind the best offensive line of his career in 2024. He will have an immediate high-end RB1 upside in fantasy football.
