Treylon Burks Unlikely To Be Ready For Training Camp

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Treylon Burks (knee) is unlikely to be ready for training camp this summer, A To Z Sports' Buck Reising reports. Burks, who has been a major bust for the Titans since they selected him 18th overall in 2022 out of Arkansas, was placed on Injured Reserve last year on Oct. 19 and eventually had surgery to address damage in his ACL. The 25-year-old didn't have a full tear of his ACL, which is good news, but he still isn't expected to be ready for training camp and also might not be ready for Week 1 of the 2025 regular season. It's more disappointment for the young wideout, who has completely fallen off the fantasy radar at this point, even in dynasty/keeper leagues. Through his first three NFL seasons, Burks has only 53 catches for 699 yards and one touchdown on 92 targets. The Titans added Van Jefferson in free agency, but they'll surely address the position in the upcoming draft as well.

"No Timeline" On Courtland Sutton Extension

Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton notes that there is "no timeline" on a new deal for veteran wide receiver Courtland Sutton. The 29-year-old will still be at the team's offseason program. Broncos general manager George Paton reported that any contract extension talks would occur after the draft. Sutton is entering the final year of a four-year contract and carries a cap hit of $20.2 million. He performed well last year with the expedited ascension of rookie QB Bo Nix, capping 1,000 yards (1,081) for the first time since 2019 and notching the highest reception total of his career (81). Whether the SMU alum will be as effective another year older in 2025 remains to be seen -- particularly for a player who doesn't get much separation. Still, Denver hasn't added much in terms of offensive weaponry besides tight end Evan Engram in free agency. Sutton should again be Nix's primary target, barring a big move in the draft.

Detroit To Exercise Jameson Williams' Fifth-Year Option

According to Detroit Lions general manager Brad Holmes, the team expects to exercise wide receiver Jameson Williams' fifth-year option. "We're, you know, most likely gonna be doing that," said the Lions' GM. Holmes also noted that the 24-year-old is "still scratching the surface" and "has more in him." Williams finally put it all together last season, notching 1,001 yards and seven touchdowns over 58 receptions, elevating his play to his first-round price. The Alabama product was a superb deep threat for the Lions last season, adding an extra element to its offense. If Holmes' shining endorsement is genuine, then it's possible that Williams has another gear and could level up again if he works on his craft. The speedster is currently RotoBaller's WR49 in ADP (114 overall) but finished last season as the PPR WR22.

49ers Expected To Hold Brandon Aiyuk

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the San Francisco 49ers are not expected to trade wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk (knee). The sixth-year pro will be due a bonus of $22.85 million on Tuesday if he is on the team's roster. Aiyuk exploded in 2023 with a 75-1,342-7 line and signed a four-year $120 million contract extension as a reward. However, a torn ACL and MCL in Week 7 of 2024 cut his season short, though it's worth noting he wasn't overly productive before the injury. The 49ers have already flipped one star wideout this offseason, sending Deebo Samuel Sr. to the Washington Commanders, so it is in the team's best interest to hold Aiyuk despite the hit to their cap. There is still no timetable for the 27-year-old's return, but he recently got good reviews regarding his recovery. He'll compete with teammates George Kittle and Jauan Jennings for targets when he's healthy.

Rams To Discuss Long-Term Deal With Kyren Williams

The Los Angeles Rams will meet with agent Drew Rosenhaus, who represents star running back Kyren Williams, at the annual league meetings this week to discuss a possible long-term contract extension, according to general manager Les Snead. After recording back-to-back 1,100-plus rushing yards and entering the final year of his rookie contract in 2025, Snead has said the team would like to "engineer a long-term partnership" with the 24-year-old Williams. However, both sides aren't exactly on the same page right now, and it could take time. Snead left open the possibility that Williams plays out the final year of his rookie deal without a new contract. He has become a surefire RB1 in fantasy, and his 14 rushing touchdowns in 2024 tied for fourth-most among RBs. The former fifth-rounder has become L.A.'s clear lead back and the centerpiece of their evolved running attack.
