The Las Vegas Raiders officially ruled out wide receiver Davante Adams (hamstring) for the Week 6 contest against the visiting Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. Adams will miss his third straight game with a hamstring injury that isn't believed to be all that serious, but at this point, the 31-year-old isn't expected to play again as he awaits to be traded before the deadline in early November. In addition to Adams being out again, wideout Jakobi Meyers (ankle) is questionable to suit up. It means that quarterback Aidan O'Connell, who is taking over the starting job from Gardner Minshew II, could be down to Tre Tucker and rookie tight end Brock Bowers as his top two receiving targets against a swarming Steelers defense. If Meyers also is inactive on Sunday, DJ Turner and Tyreik McAllister would likely start in three-receiver sets for the Raiders. Adams' fantasy managers hope a trade goes down sooner than later.

Reports last week suggested that Adams would be healthy by this week, but as the week has progressed, he's increasingly been unlikely to play in Week 6's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. This is all while the team is looking for trade partners for the superstar receiver even though the trade market looks like it's going cold due to their asking price. Meyers, on the other hand, reportedly "seemed fine" and missing practice was more to make sure he's healthy by game time. Fantasy managers should still monitor his status leading up to the mid-afternoon kickoff on Sunday.

New York Jets interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich said that tight end Tyler Conklin (hip) will be limited in the team's first practice of the week on Thursday. Conklin apparently picked up a hip injury in the Week 5 loss to the Minnesota Vikings in London, where he had six catches on nine targets for 55 yards, his best performance of the season. As long as the 29-year-old doesn't suffer some sort of setback in the next two days, we think he'll be fine to play against the division-rival Buffalo Bills in Week 6 on Monday Night Football. He is coming off his best showing in 2024 and could get more involved in the passing game moving forward with pass-game coordinator Todd Downing taking over play-calling duties from offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett. Conklin's fantasy needle is ticking up right now against a vulnerable Bills defense. He'll have plenty of streaming appeal for fantasy managers this week as a low-end TE1.

New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers (ankle, hamstring) will be limited in the first practice of the week on Thursday, according to interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich. He said that Rodgers will be ready to go for the Monday night contest in Week 6 against the visiting division-rival Buffalo Bills. The 40-year-old veteran picked up a low-ankle sprain and a hamstring injury in the Week 5 loss in London to the Minnesota Vikings. Despite Rodgers looking to be in significant pain when he injured his ankle, he didn't miss any snaps in the 23-17 loss. The future Hall of Famer should have an easier go of it against a banged-up Bills secondary this week after two rough performances the last two weeks in losses to the Broncos and Vikings. However, Rodgers is still nothing more than a low-end QB2 option in fantasy, at least until/if the Jets pull off a trade to reunite him with receiver Davante Adams.

The hamstring issue may be more of an excuse at this point to keep Adams off the field while the Raiders search for a trade partner. A report earlier this week stated that Adams is nearing full health. The Jets, Saints, and Steelers seem to be the teams pursuing Adams the hardest. However, the Saints just lost Derek Carr (oblique) for a few weeks. The Jets fired their head coach. Other teams don't seem as eager to match the Raiders' asking price. This will be the third straight game Adams has missed. He likely won't see the field again until he's on a different roster.
