San Francisco 49ers kicker Anders Carlson will kick off to the Dallas Cowboys at home in Week 8 on Sunday Night Football. The former Auburn Tiger and Green Bay Packer is the third kicker the 49ers have deployed this year, after Jake Moody (ankle) and Matthew Wright (shoulder) both were injured on tackle attempts. Last week, Carlson made field goal attempts from 55 and 24 yards but missed an extra point. Carlson has a big-league leg but has struggled with accuracy during his short career, leading the NFL in missed field goals in 2023 and missing five extra points, including playoffs. The 49ers offense has been brutally decimated with injury, so the days of assuming they'll get their kicker plenty of opportunities may be put on hold. New York Jets kicker Greg Zuerlein will kick against the New England Patriots on the road in Week 8. Zuerlein has struggled with his accuracy in 2024, missing five of his 13 attempts thus far. He will look to turn things around against a Patriots defense that is allowing the 13th-most fantasy points per game to kickers this year. Zuerlein has been too erratic to trust as a starting option in fantasy heading into Week 8.

New York Jets tight end Tyler Conklin (hip) has practiced fully all week as his team prepares to take on the New England Patriots on the road in Week 8. Conklin has been dealing with a hip injury over the past few weeks but he is listed without an injury designation on the Jets' final injury report heading into the weekend. The Patriots have been tough on tight ends in fantasy this season, allowing just the 22nd-most fantasy points per game to the position thus far. Conklin could see a few extra targets with Allen Lazard (chest) listed as doubtful for the game but he still checks in as a low-end TE2 heading into the weekend.

New York Jets wide receiver Davante Adams had a quiet debut with his new team in Week 7, catching just three of his nine targets for 30 yards in a loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Adams will look to bounce back on the road against the New England Patriots in Week 8. The Patriots have been a decent matchup for receivers this season, allowing the 13th-most fantasy points per game to the position thus far. Another reason for optimism for Adams is it looks like Allen Lazard (chest) is unlikely to play in Week 8, which will consolidate targets around Adams and Garrett Wilson more than usual. Treat Adams as a low-end WR2 heading into Week 8 against the Patriots.
