Greg Joseph Placed On Injured Reserve

New York Giants kicker Greg Joseph (abdomen) has been placed on the injured reserve ahead of the Week 9 matchup against the Washington Commanders. The Giants brought in Joseph after kicker Graham Gano (quad) got injured during the season opener. Now, Joseph will miss at least the next four games. That means, Jude McAtamney will be elevated from the practice squad this weekend. He'll make his NFL debut after looking solid in the preseason. However, McAtamney isn't an ideal streaming option given the Giants struggles on offense.

Jets Not Expected To Move Garrett Wilson, Davante Adams

The Athletic's Dianna Russini doesn't expect the New York Jets to move wide receivers Garrett Wilson and Davante Adams and cornerback D.J. Reed by Tuesday's NFL trade deadline. The Jets have been receiving calls about the availability of Wilson and Reed lately. New York needs to do a lot of work to even be in the playoff picture by the end of the regular season, but they took a step forward by beating the Houston Texans on Thursday night to improve their record to 3-6. Wilson caught nine of his 10 targets for 90 yards and two touchdowns in the 21-13 win and is still a must-start for fantasy managers despite the recent addition of Adams. Adams also had a strong game in Week 8, going for seven receptions on 11 targets for 91 yards and a score against Houston. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers will continue to lean heavily on his top two pass-catchers.

Greg Joseph Won't Play In Week 9

New York Giants kicker Greg Joseph (abdomen) has been ruled out ahead of the Week 9 matchup against the Washington Commanders. The Giants are already without Graham Gano (hamstring) who injured himself attempting to make a tackle in Week 1. That being said, Jude McAtamney is likely to be elevated from the practice squad to make his debut this weekend. He looked solid in the preseason, so maybe he can be a viable option for them. Sadly, the Giants offense has struggled to move the ball down the field, which means McAtamney isn't a strong streaming option for Week 9.

Tyler Conklin Catches One Pass In Week 9 Win

New York Jets tight end Tyler Conklin lost three yards on his lone catch in a 21-13 win over the Houston Texans in Week 9's Thursday night game. Conklin drew just two targets in the game as Aaron Rodgers directed 21 of his 32 pass attempts toward either Garrett Wilson or Davante Adams. That didn't leave much else for the rest of the Jets pass catchers, including Conklin who was outproduced by fellow tight ends Kenny Yeboah (one catch for 12 yards) and Jeremy Ruckert (one catch for four yards). Conklin will look to regroup heading into a Week 10 road matchup against the Arizona Cardinals.

Davante Adams Finds The End Zone In Week 9 Win

New York Jets wide receiver Davante Adams (concussion) caught seven of his 11 targets for 91 yards and a touchdown in a 21-13 win over the Houston Texans in Week 9's Thursday night game. Adams and Aaron Rodgers connected for their first touchdown since they played for the Green Bay Packers together back in 2022 on a 37-yard strike in the fourth quarter. The big outing from Adams easily goes in the books as his best effort since the Jets acquired him from the Las Vegas Raiders ahead of Week 7. Adams survived an injury scare during the second half as he was evaluated for a concussion. He ultimately passed the league's testing and was able to return to the field for the remainder of the game. Adams will be a solid WR2 in fantasy heading into Week 10's road game against the Arizona Cardinals.
