Josh Reynolds Injured In Shooting

Denver Broncos wide receiver Josh Reynolds (arm, head, finger), who is currently on Injured Reserve due to a broken finger injury, was injured in a shooting on Oct. 18 in Denver after being followed from a strip club. Reynolds was shot twice, once in his left arm and once in the back of his head. "Josh Reynolds was a victim of a shooting on Friday in Denver and received treatment for minor injuries. Out of respect for the legal process, we will defer further comment on this matter to the authorities," the Broncos said in a statement. The 29-year-old is extremely lucky to come away with only minor injuries after being shot twice. He is eligible to return from IR in Week 10 against the division-rival Kansas City Chiefs, but his new injuries may push that timetable back. Reynolds is rostered in just 1% of Yahoo leagues and had 12 catches for 183 yards and a TD in his first five games with Denver.

Allen Lazard Sidelined For Second Straight Practice

New York Jets wide receiver Allen Lazard (chest) is not practicing on Thursday due to a chest injury. The veteran and longtime teammate of quarterback Aaron Rodgers (knee) did not participate in Wednesday's practice either, so he could be trending toward missing Sunday's AFC East showdown against the New England Patriots. Lazard's stock is down after the Jets traded for All-Pro pass-catcher Davante Adams, as Lazard now has to compete with Garrett Wilson and Adams for targets. That said, he could still have spike weeks and is the current WR12 in half-PPR leagues. If he plays in Week 8, he'll likely be somewhat limited, so he's probably best left on the bench. Adams should be more involved in the offense after another week of practice under his belt.

Greg Zuerlein Misses FG In Week 7

New York Jets kicker Greg Zuerlein missed his lone field-goal attempt but added an extra point in a 37-15 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 7. Zuerlein has struggled of late as he has missed three field goals over the past two games and has made just eight of 13 through seven games this season. The Jets tried out other kickers last week in practice and could consider pursuing another option at the position again this week. Zuerlein will hope to remain the team's kicker heading into a Week 8 matchup against the New England Patriots.

Allen Lazard Catches Four Passes In Week 7

New York Jets wide receiver Allen Lazard caught all four of his targets for 58 yards in a 37-15 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 7. Lazard finished third on the team in receiving yards in the lopsided loss, despite drawing only the four targets. Aaron Rodgers keyed in on his top two receivers in the contest, sending nine targets apiece toward Garrett Wilson and Davante Adams. The addition of Adams last week in a trade with the Las Vegas Raiders is expected to hurt Lazard the most, although he scratched out a decent game on Sunday night. Expect Adams to be more of a thorn in Lazard's side as the former gets more comfortable with his new team. Treat Lazard as a low-end flex option heading into Week 8 against the New England Patriots.

Garrett Wilson Goes For 61 Yards In Week 7

New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson caught six of his nine targets for 61 yards and added a two-point conversion in a 37-15 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 7. Wilson and Davante Adams wound up both drawing nine targets in their first game together since the Jets acquired the latter in the trade from the Las Vegas Raiders last week. For fantasy managers with Wilson on their rosters, it was encouraging to see as there were some concerns the addition of Adams would cut into Wilson's production. Wilson now has 46 catches for 460 yards and three touchdowns through seven games this season. He will take on the New England Patriots in Week 8 in a rematch from Week 3 when he caught five passes for 33 yards and a touchdown.
