Davante Adams Should Get Full Workload

New York Jets wide receiver Davante Adams (hamstring) is expected to make his team debut during the Week 7 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Adams hasn't played since Week 3 due to a hamstring issue. However, he appears to be miraculously cured after being traded to the Jets. The star wideout has been able to practice in full all week. Head coach Jeff Ulbrich said he expects Adams to have a full workload this weekend. Adams figures to make an immediate impact in New York and should be inserted into fantasy lineups as a WR1.UPDATE: Adams was officially removed from Friday's final injury report for Week 7.

Davante Adams Practices In Full Again

New York Jets wide receiver Davante Adams (hamstring) was a full participant in practice on Thursday. This marks back-to-back days that Adams has been able to get through a full practice session. The superstar wideout hasn't played since Week 3 due to a hamstring issue. It appears a trade to the Jets has instantly fixed Adams' hamstring problems. He figures to immediately be a primary target for quarterback Aaron Rodgers in the passing game. He'll be competing for targets with Garrett Wilson, but fantasy managers shouldn't be too concerned about that. Adams should make his team debut against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 7. Fantasy managers should put Adams in the WR1 conversation for his first game with the Jets.

Davante Adams To Practice In Full On Wednesday

New York Jets wide receiver Davante Adams (hamstring) will be a full-go in his first practice with the Jets for their walkthrough on Wednesday. Adams missed the last three weeks with the Las Vegas Raiders due to a phantom hamstring injury as he sought a way out of town and to the Jets so that he could reunite with his buddy Aaron Rodgers. Now that the trade has gone through, the 31-year-old veteran is no longer injured and expects to make his Jets debut on Sunday night versus the Pittsburgh Steelers. In three games with the Raiders to begin the year, he caught 18 of his 27 targets for 209 yards and one touchdown. Adams must learn the Jets' offense quickly, but fantasy managers should be comforted by the fact that he should see steady targets from Rodgers. He's a must-start in fantasy when he's active.

Davante Adams Plans To Play In Week 7

New York Jets new wide receiver Davante Adams (hamstring) plans to play in Week 7 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Adams was traded to the Jets on Tuesday and will make his debut on Sunday Night Football. Although the news is exciting, fantasy managers may want to temper their expectations for Adams. He is entering a new offense with less than a week of preparation time while coming off a soft tissue injury. Additionally, the Steelers are No. 10 against opposing wide receivers in fantasy. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers seems to have found a rhythm over the last couple of weeks but it may take a couple of weeks for Adams to fully get going. In three games with the Las Vegas Raiders in 2024, Adams has 18 receptions for 209 yards and a touchdown.

Davante Adams Agrees To Restructured Contract With Jets

Following the New York Jets acquiring All-Pro wide receiver Davante Adams from the Las Vegas Raiders, Adams has agreed to a restructured contract that lessens his cap hit in 2024. Adams and the team will likely work to restructure the 2025 and 2026 portions of his contract in the future, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport. The 31-year-old is set to reunite with his longtime quarterback in Green Bay, Aaron Rodgers. While Adams could take time to acclimate to his new team, he has longstanding chemistry with Rodgers and has a chance to play in Week 7 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Adams caught at least 100 passes three times in his eight seasons with the Packers and Rodgers, and he scored at least 10 touchdowns in five different seasons. His arrival in New York could help Garrett Wilson draw more favorable matchups, but Wilson will no longer dominate targets.
