Jakobi Meyers Officially Active Versus Chiefs

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Jakobi Meyers (abdomen) is officially active for Week 8 against the Kansas City Chiefs. He had been listed as questionable but was trending in the right direction after logging a full practice on Friday. This will be Meyers' first game of the season without Davante Adams on the roster, but he did play two games when Adams was inactive earlier this year. In those two games, Meyers caught 11 passes for 121 yards and zero touchdowns. He should see significant volume as the Raiders' No. 1 receiver this week, but he's nothing more than a low-end WR3/FLEX versus a strong Chiefs defense.

Harrison Bryant Inactive Against Chiefs Sunday

Las Vegas Raiders tight end Harrison Bryant (elbow) is officially inactive for Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs. He had been listed as questionable but was trending in the wrong direction after missing three consecutive practices. Bryant hasn't been on the fantasy radar this year, but he has been playing well with five catches and 43 yards over the last two weeks. John Samuel Shenker, who is still searching for his first career target, will back up Brock Bowers in Week 8.

Jakobi Meyers Expected Back For Week 8

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Jakobi Meyers (ankle) is expected to suit up for Sunday's divisional clash with the Kansas City Chiefs. Myers has been burdened by an ankle issue, keeping him off the field for the Raiders' previous two contests. The 27-year-old hasn't had a terrible season, amassing 25 catches (36 targets) for 273 yards and a touchdown. Of course, the Raiders offense is hard to trust. However, assuming Meyers officially receives the green light, he warrants flex consideration. His anticipated return could mean fewer targets for Brock Bowers, who had 19 catches combined in the last two games. DJ Turner and Tre Tucker may also have a tough time staying involved with Meyers back on the field.

Alexander Mattison May Have Lead Back Role In Tough Week 8 Matchup

Las Vegas Raiders running back Alexander Mattison will take on the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 8. He had to compete with fellow RB Zamir White for touches, but took the lion's share of the backfield work. The former Viking rushed 23 times for 92 yards and caught three passes for 31 yards in the team's 15-20 loss to the Los Angeles Rams last week. He'll face a much tougher defense this week. The Chiefs have allowed just 14.0 PPR fantasy points per game to opposing running backs -- no other team has allowed less than 17. He's a decent RB3/FLEX option in deeper leagues due to his pass-catching upside and potential workload. Even if the Raiders get blown out, he could see a decent number of passes thrown his way.

Jakobi Meyers Officially Questionable For Week 8

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Jakobi Meyers (ankle) is officially deemed questionable for Sunday's home matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs. If he suits up, it will be his first in-game action since Week 5, when he ripped off 72 yards on 6-of-9 receiving in the 34-18 loss to the Denver Broncos. Tashan Reed of The Athletic reported earlier in the day that Meyers is expected to play, though the questionable designation contradicts that slightly. Still, a full practice session on Friday is undoubtedly a boon to his outlook. The 27-year-old will line up against one of the more staunch units in the league this weekend but projects to get a ton of work if he is healthy enough to play. He'll be a WR2/3 for the outing.
