Harrison Bryant Ruled Out Vs. Dolphins

Las Vegas Raiders tight end Harrison Bryant (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's contest against the Miami Dolphins. The fifth-year veteran kicked off the week tagged with a DNP but was able to log a limited session on Thursday before being downgraded again on Friday. Bryant has dealt with a few injuries this season and will now miss his second game of 2024. With teammate Michael Mayer (personal) deemed questionable, Las Vegas is in danger of being down two tight ends for the matchup. If Mayer cannot play, rookie sensation Brock Bowers would be slated for all the work he can handle, with Justin Shorter rotating in behind him. Shorter has appeared in three games this season but has yet to command a target on nine total snaps.

Michael Mayer Could Return This Weekend

Las Vegas Raiders tight end Michael Mayer (personal) has a chance at making his return to the field against the Miami Dolphins in Week 11. Mayer hasn't played since September due to a personal matter. However, it sounds like he's on the verge of returning as Mayer is listed as questionable for this weekend. He's hauled in four of his seven targets for 21 yards through three games this season. Mayer is unlikely to have much fantasy value with Brock Bowers emerging as the primary option at tight end. Mayer figures to have a minor role behind Bowers once he's cleared to play.

Harrison Bryant Returns To Practice

Las Vegas Raiders tight end Harrison Bryant (ankle) was able to get through a limited practice session on Thursday. Bryant suffered an ankle injury during the Week 9 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. He was off last week with the Raiders having a bye week. Bryant didn't practice to open the week, but returned as a limited participant on Thursday. He seems to have a decent chance at suiting up for the Week 11 matchup against the Miami Dolphins. Bryant has seven receptions for 65 yards over his last three games, but doesn't have much fantasy value with Brock Bowers ahead of him on the depth chart.

Harrison Bryant Sidelined As Week 11 Prep Begins

Las Vegas Raiders tight end Harrison Bryant (ankle) did not participate in practice on Wednesday. Bryant has filled a depth role in Las Vegas season, catching just nine passes for 86 yards through eight games. Although the 26-year-old has been serving as the backup to Brock Bowers recently, he'll drop down to No. 3 on the depth chart with the imminent return of Michael Mayer (personal). Between ranking third on the depth chart and battling a significant ankle issue, Bryant can be avoided in all fantasy leagues.

Gardner Minshew II Will Start In Week 11

Las Vegas Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce announced that veteran Gardner Minshew II will start at quarterback against the Miami Dolphins in Week 11. There was speculation that former Atlanta Falcons starter Desmond Ridder would get the nod, but the organization is rolling with Minshew for at least one more week. Minshew has been benched three times this year and has not had much success through his first eight games in the Silver and Black. The 28-year-old has completed 67% of his passes for 1,501 yards, six touchdowns, and eight interceptions in 2024. He is not on the fantasy football radar in single-QB formats.
