Michael Mayer Officially Returning Sunday

Las Vegas Raiders tight end Michael Mayer (personal) is active for Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins. He had been listed as questionable despite being a full participant in practice this week. A personal matter had sidelined Mayer since Week 4, but he was activated from injured reserve on Saturday and is officially suiting up in Week 11. He'll presumably operate as the direct backup to Brock Bowers. Mayer remains off the fantasy radar for the time being.

Raheem Mostert: A Shaky Flex Option Against Raiders

Miami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert comes into Week 11 against the Las Vegas Raiders after an alarming performance against the Los Angeles Rams last week. He did not log a rushing attempt and only caught two of three targets for 34 yards. The 2023 rushing touchdown leader has also not scored a touchdown in his last two games. Mike McDaniels is not pleased with the costly fumbles, and due to Miami's (3-6) record, the margin for error for the rest of the season is minimal. While the Raiders defense has given up the seventh most points per game to opposing running backs and allowed 1,007 total rushing yards on the season, it isn't easy to imagine Mostert getting enough touches to justify starting him. Be cautious if starting him this week; he could be very touchdown-dependent. Mostert is this week's RB35 in the Week 11 RotoBaller rankings.

Raiders Activate Michael Mayer From NFI List

The Las Vegas Raiders activated tight end Michael Mayer (personal) from the Non-Football Illness list on Saturday before the Week 11 contest on Sunday on the road against the Miami Dolphins. It's a big lift for the Raiders offensively, but Mayer is a poor TE2 streamer given the team's offensive struggles this year under quarterback Gardner Minshew II. Mayer has also taken a clear back seat to impressive rookie tight end Brock Bowers in 2024. The 23-year-old was listed as questionable on Friday's final injury report, so he still isn't a lock to suit up on Sunday, although being activated from the NFI list is a good sign for his availability this weekend. Mayer hasn't played since the Week 3 loss to the Carolina Panthers and hasn't even reached 2.0 half-PPR points in his three games played in 2024. He only has four catches on seven targets for 21 yards this year.

Tre Tucker Will Try To Rebound From Recent Low Production

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Tre Tucker will do his best to get things into gear against the Miami Dolphins in Week 11. He hasn't scored double-digit PPR fantasy points since Weeks 3-4, where he had a nice duo of fantasy-relevant games. Since then, he's managed just nine receptions and 85 receiving yards despite being targeted 22 times. He's rushed twice for 18 yards in that stretch. After initially seemingly breaking out, he's fallen back to Earth. The departure of former lead WR Davante Adams likely means Tucker has to face better coverage from opposing teams. That could be making it harder for him to succeed. He's not worth rostering in the vast majority of leagues.

Daniel Carlson's Production Will Depend On Offensive Success

Las Vegas Raiders kicker Daniel Carlson faces a consistent struggle for fantasy success -- limited opportunities to kick field goals and extra points. Luckily for him, the opposing Miami Dolphins team, who the Raiders face in Week 11, allow plenty of points to opposing kickers. It could be because they allow teams to drive down the field, but stiffen in the red zone. This would be a perfect situation for Carlson. Still, starting him in fantasy leagues comes with plenty of risk -- he's the 17th ranked kicker on the season, so outside of very deep leagues, there are likely better options to put in your starting lineups. But he's a decent player to start nonetheless.
