Seattle Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith (knee) was forced to exit the Week 15 matchup with the Green Bay Packers with a knee injury and wasn't able to return. Before leaving in the third quarter, he registered 149 and one interception on 15-for-19 throwing with one carry for five yards. According to head coach Mike McDaniel, Smith's knee "appears to be intact structurally." His status for Week 16's game against the Minnesota Vikings is uncertain at this time though. If he's unable to suit up, Sam Howell will likely step in again after he threw 5-for-14, 24 yards, and one interception on Sunday night.

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith (knee) suffered a knee injury in the team's Week 15 loss to the Green Bay Packers. Smith had only managed 149 passing yards and an interception prior to his injury. The Seahawks' offense was not able to do anything against a solid Packers defense. Their only hope was to try to control the game on the ground and avoid throwing at an excellent Packers secondary. However, the Packers jumped out to a big first-quarter lead and forced Seattle to air it out. The severity of Smith's injury is unknown. Early tests suggest that it is structurally intact but he will undergo imaging on Monday. Smith's injury does not affect his fantasy value so much as it does that of the Seahawks' skill position players. The offense was abysmal when Sam Howell replaced Smith which could significantly affect the fantasy production of Seattle's running backs and wide receivers. However, Smith has a solid matchup in Week 16 against the Minnesota Vikings if he can make it back to the field.

Seattle Seahawks backup quarterback Sam Howell did not do much to inspire confidence when called upon in Week 15. Howell replaced Geno Smith (knee) in the second half of Seattle's loss to the Green Bay Packers. He completed 5/14 passes for 24 yards and an interception. His QBR of 3.3 was about as low as you can go. Howell was turnover-prone with the Commanders in 2023 but his yardage totals were solid. To see him struggle in a way that suggests substantial regression in 2024 is concerning. With fantasy managers relying on Seattle's running backs and wide receivers in the fantasy playoffs, Howell's performance does not inspire much confidence should Smith miss time. Smith's injury severity is unknown so it is too early to tell what will happen. If Smith does need to miss time, at least Howell will have a whole week to prepare for Seattle's final home game against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 16.

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith (knee) was forced from Sunday night's meeting with the Green Bay Packers and is questionable to return. Smith exited the contest in the third quarter after taking a low hit on a jump pass from Packers' linebacker Edgerrin Cooper. He landed with his leg still in Cooper's grasp, which caused his knee to bend awkwardly. Before his exit, the 34-year-old completed an efficient 15-of-19 passes for 149 yards and one interception -- picking up five yards on his lone carry. Quarterback Sam Howell has entered the game in relief.UPDATE: Head coach Mike Macdonald said that everything looks structurally sound for Smith's knee, but he will go for tests on Monday. It's unclear if Smith will be forced to miss time, but we should know more after his tests.

Las Vegas Raiders kicker Daniel Carlson made two short field goals and an extra point attempt in Week 14 after a terrible day in Week 13 that saw him miss three long field goals. He's an accurate kicker below those long distances, but the misses lower his value ahead of a Week 15 matchup with the Atlanta Falcons. LV may be missing their starting quarterback, so we don't recommend you start Carlson. He would be a good option on a better offense. Atlanta's defense isn't great, so there's some room for a good amount of field goal attempts. That's great! Really awesome. But you should roll with someone else. Better to have a kicker on a good offense without so many question marks, because that makes it easier to project more volume.
