Houston Texans running back Dare Ogunbowale saved an inefficient running day against the Buffalo Bills with regular involvement in the passing game, hauling in six of seven targets for 57 yards in Houston's 23-20 win. The journeyman running back had a team-high 15 carries, but turned them into just 30 rushing yards. The former Wisconsin Badger saw a higher-than-normal volume of carries due to an injury to starter Joe Mixon (ankle), but his receiving productivity offered some hope he could continue to be involved when Mixon returns. Houston's distribution of carries likely will depend on the injury report prior to a Week 6 game at New England.
Houston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins (hamstring) has been ruled out of the rest of their game against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. Collins hauled in a huge 67-yard touchdown pass before exiting in the first half. The star wide receiver finishes the game with two receptions for 78 yards and one score on two targets. Since hamstring injuries are always tricky, his status is something to monitor closely as this week goes on. Xavier Hutchinson has been the one to come into the game and receive targets while Tank Dell and Stefon Diggs should see an uptick in opportunities.
Houston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins (hamstring) is questionable to return to Sunday's matchup with the Buffalo Bills. The wideout was on a roll before going down with a hamstring injury, catching two passes for 78 yards and a touchdown. There should be an update on his status soon. But in the meantime, Stefon Diggs and Tank Dell will remain the top receiving options for C.J. Stroud.
Houston Texans running back Dameon Pierce (hamstring) is officially inactive for Week 5 against the visiting Buffalo Bills on Sunday, while wide receiver Robert Woods (foot) is active. Pierce has been making progress with his hamstring injury in recent weeks, but he will now miss his fourth straight game after being injured in the Week 1 win over the Indianapolis Colts. With Joe Mixon (ankle) having already been ruled out, the Texans will once again roll with Cam Akers and Dare Ogunbowale in their backfield this weekend against a beat up Buffalo defense. Akers hasn't exactly impressed anyone the last two weeks with Mixon and Pierce out, but just from a volume standpoint alone, he's in play as an RB3/flex in Week 5. Woods shouldn't be on the radar for a starting fantasy spot on Sunday, especially with Tank Dell (chest) returning from a one-game absence. Woods has only three catches for 28 yards so far this year.
Houston Texans wide receiver Robert Woods (foot) is expected to suit up for the Week 5 matchup against the Buffalo Bills. The veteran wideout landed on the injury report this week with a foot issue. He sat out of Thursday's practice before getting in a limited session on Friday. Woods hasn't made much of an impact on the field this season. He has three receptions on five targets for 28 yards through four games. There aren't a ton of chances for Woods behind Nico Collins, Stefon Diggs, and Tank Dell in the receiving game. He won't be a viable fantasy option while the other three wideouts are healthy.
