After falling to 0-1 in week 1, both the Football Team and the Bills were able to get back to an even 1-1 with wins in week 2. The Football Team won on a last-second field goal attempt by Dustin Hopkins. Meanwhile, the Bills dominated the Dolphins and won while shutting out the Dolphins. In what most will predict to be a lopsided game in favor of the Bills, the Football Team hopes to cover the game’s 8.5 point spread.

Latest Bills-Football Team Odds

Looking for the latest odds for this matchup? Here they are.

Opening odds – Bills vs. Football Team

The game opened with the Bills as 7 point favorites, but the spread has already grown to 8.5 points. The market seems to be reacting to the Bills dominating effort against the Dolphins in week two. Although Tua Tagovailoa was injured in the game, it was hard not to come away from that game impressed with the Bills on both sides of the ball. After scoring just 16 points in week one, Josh Allen and the Bills offense look elite in week 2, scoring 35 points. Most bettors are going to gravitate towards the Bills in this contest.

After opening at 48 points, the total for this game is down to 46 points at DraftKings Sportsbook. The market is reacting to the Bills’ great defensive showing in week 2, and don’t expect the Football Team to put up a lot of points.

Quarterback Analysis – Josh Allen vs Taylor Heinicke

After a bit of a down week in week 1, Josh Allen once again struggled in week 2. He completed just 17 of his 33 throws and threw a pick while averaging just 5.3 yards per attempt. However, the Bills still managed to score 35 points on the day, so it is hard to be overly critical of Allen’s performance. He still threw two touchdowns, and in a game that felt over in the first half, he did not have to push the ball down the field much.

Coming into the season as Ryan Fitzpatrick’s backup, Taylor Heinicke is now the starting quarterback in Washington. He was impressive in his first start, leading an offense that scored 30 points. Still, the performance was far from perfect. One particularly egregious mistake was the interception he threw late in the 4th quarter when the team had the lead. While the team still managed to defeat the Giants, that sort of play won’t cut it this week against the Bills.

Latest Bills Betting News & Info

After failing to cover the spread in week 1, the Bills easily covered against the Dolphins in week 2. Their totals have also hit the under in both weeks, but that is to be expected when you shut out your opponent.

A big reason for the team failing to hit the over in either week is the struggles of Josh Allen. After having an arguably MVP-worth season in 2020, and being rewarded with a $256 million contract extension, Allen has been quiet to start the year. It is hard to pinpoint the cause of his early struggles, but given that the Bills are 8.5-point favorites, it is clear that most people think he is going to turn it around in the near future.

Latest Football Team Betting News & Info

In what was largely predicted to be the lowest-scoring game of the weekend, Taylor Heinicke and the rest of the Football Team absolutely delivered last Thursday, putting up 30 points as the game comfortably hit the over. Unfortunately for the Washington Bettors, the team once again failed to cover the spread, falling to 0-2 in that department.

This week, Washington needs Heinicke to play well again, as the Bills are a much tougher opponent than the Giants were. We will see if he is up to the task.

Bills vs. Football Team Betting Picks – NFL Week 3

Right now, 61% of the public likes the Bills as 8.5 point favorites. Despite Washington’s impressive performance on offense in week two, the Bills defense is a different beast. And for a defense that allowed Daniel Jones’ Giants to put up 29 points, it is difficult to imagine them being able to stop Josh Allen and the Bills.

Here are our betting picks for the Bills vs. Football Team in Week 3.
