Washington Wizards forward Khris Middleton will make his team debut as a starter on Friday against the Milwaukee Bucks. After being traded by the Bucks on Feb. 6, Middleton is finally ready to take the court with his new squad, and he may have something to prove in Friday's matchup. During his time with the Bucks, Middleton made seven starts this season, averaging 15.7 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 4.9 assists in 26.0 minutes of play. Rookie guard Bub Carrington will make way for Middleton in the starting lineup.

Washington Wizards guard Marcus Smart has been cleared to suit up for Friday's game against the Milwaukee Bucks. Smart will make his debut with his new club after being traded from the Memphis Grizzlies. The defensive specialist could be an interesting fantasy contributor if he steps into a significant role with Washington, but the Wizards' plans for the veteran are unknown. The 30-year-old guard has played in 19 games this season, averaging 8.7 points, 2.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 1.2 steals per contest.

Washington Wizards guard/forwardKhris Middleton will make his debut with his new club against his former team, the Milwaukee Bucks, on Friday. The Bucks traded Middleton to the Wizards right before the NBA trade deadline. Middleton last played in a game 18 days ago and finished with 20 points, two rebounds and four assists across 26 minutes during his final game in a Bucks uniform. The 33-year-old could see limited minutes on Friday being out of action for so long and only playing in 23 games so far this season.

Washington Wizards guardMalcolm Brogdon(ankle) will be unavailable for Friday's game against the Milwaukee Bucks. The veteran guard suffered a sprained ankle right before the All-Star break. Brogdon has battled several injuries this season, playing in just 24 games. However, the 32-year-old has been relatively productive when available, averaging 12.7 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 4.1 assists in 23.5 minutes per contest. Jordan Poole,Carlton Carrington, andBilal Coulibaly will likely see plenty of extra playing time and scoring opportunities with Brogdon on the shelf.

Philadelphia 76ers guard Jared Butler is getting his contract converted from a two-way to a standard, two-year NBA contract. The former second-round pick in 2021 joined the Sixers at the trade deadline in the deal that sent Reggie Jackson and a 2026 first-round pick to Washington in exchange for Butler and four second-round picks. This year has been the best Butler's young career as he's averaging 7.1 points, 2.7 assists, and 1.4 rebounds across 11.8 minutes per game. While his role isn't quite guaranteed, he's set for bigger opportunities in the short term while the Sixers deal with injury after injury.
