Washington Wizards guard Jordan Poole (elbow) has been ruled out ahead of Monday's game against the Miami Heat. Poole will miss his second straight game due to a hyperextended elbow. The team hasn't given a timetable on his return, but his next chance to play will be on Wednesday. Bub Carrington and Marcus Smart are expected to see increased run while Poole is out. Both players are decent streaming options, but Carrington is the better choice between the two right now.

Washington Wizards forward Justin Champagnie has a new long-term extension with the organization. The two sides have agreed on a four-year, $10 million contract, which will keep Champagnie in Washington for the foreseeable future. The 23-year-old is averaging 7.5 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 0.9 assists per game on 51 percent shooting from the field. He figures to play a bigger role in the rotation during the second half of the season with the Wizards out of playoff contention. The expectation is the Wizards will let their younger players like Champagnie get more run going forward. Right now, Champagnie isn't an ideal streaming option, but he could have more value soon.

Washington Wizards guard Malcolm Brogdon (ankle) remains out on Saturday night versus Charlotte. The Wizards also won't have Jordan Poole (elbow), who is sidelined because of a hyperextended right elbow. As a result, Bilal Coulibaly and Bub Carrington will likely handle things in the backcourt, with the duo combining for 24 points in Wednesday's loss to the Portland Trail Blazers. Marcus Smart, who had 10 points, three assists, and one steal in that one, is also expected to see more action. With Alexandre Sarr (ankle) questionable, Coulibaly, Carrington, and Smart might be more productive than usual. This is also true for Khris Middleton, Corey Kispert, and Richaun Holmes.

Washington Wizards guard Jordan Poole (elbow) won't play on Saturday against the Hornets. Two of the worst clubs in the National Basketball Association will go at it on Saturday night. However, the Wizards will need to find a way to win without Poole, who is sidelined with a hyperextended right elbow. With Malcolm Brogdon (ankle) also ruled out, Alexandre Sarr (ankle), Bilal Coulibaly, Khris Middleton, Corey Kispert, and Bub Carrington should all benefit on the offensive end. Yet, Sarr may miss another contest, meaning Coulibaly, Middleton, Kispert, and Carrington should see even more scoring opportunities. The same can be said for Marcus Smart, who had 10 points, three assists, and one steal in the loss to Portland on Wednesday.

Washington Wizards guard Malcolm Brogdon (ankle) is not ready to return to game action on Wednesday against the Portland Trail Blazers. He sprained his left ankle before the All-Star break and will miss a fourth consecutive contest on Wednesday. Bub Carrington receives additional playing opportunities with Brogdon out of the lineup. However, Carrington has struggled with inconsistency throughout his rookie campaign and has not been a reliable fantasy producer. With Khris Middleton in town, Carrington has been bumped to the bench, which further hurts his fantasy value.
