Memphis Grizzlies guard Marcus Smart could find himself on a new team this week. According to NBA insider Marc Stein, the Houston Rockets are interested in acquiring Smart in a deal involving swapping the No. 3 and No. 9 picks, which would help the Grizzlies draft Donovan Clingan. Smart, a Texas native, saw his 2023-24 campaign in Memphis ruined by injury, suiting up for only 20 games. The former NBA Defensive Player of the Year would add a lot of quality to a Houston team that looks to get back into winning mode following a rebuilding process.

Milwaukee Bucks forward Khris Middleton had 14 points in Thursday's loss to the Pacers. He added four boards, three assists, and two steals. While the veteran did all he could, his efforts weren't enough to lead Milwaukee to a win, eliminating the team from the playoffs. Middleton finished the regular season by averaging 15.1 points, 5.3 assists, and 4.7 rebounds. However, as usual, the 32-year-old was limited to 55 games due to injury. Middleton's play is never a concern. But his inability to stay healthy will negatively impact his fantasy stock heading into the 2024-25 campaign, no matter where he's playing.

Middleton has been huge in the series for Milwaukee, but he will likely play a slightly lesser role offensively on Thursday as Damian Lillard (Achilles) returns to the lineup. With that said, the team needs another big performance from Middleton to survive in the series, with Giannis Antetokounmpo (calf) still on the shelf.

Middleton has been playing through an ankle injury in the series and is expected to do so again. Despite tweaking his right ankle in Game 2 and missing some practice time, Middleton has put together a three-game double-double streak. He's averaged 32.0 points and 10.7 rebounds during the stretch.

He was a superb 4-for-7 from behind the arc and shot 9-for-20 overall while adding a game-high 12 rebounds to his tally. Middleton posted his third consecutive double-double in the series and also helped out on offense with five assists. The Bucks would be dead and buried without his fantastic play in the 2024 playoffs. With Giannis Antetokounmpo (calf) and Damian Lillard (Achilles) battling injuries, Middleton had notched 26.8 points, 9.4 rebounds, and 5.0 assists against the Pacers.
