Immanuel Quickley Hoping To Remain In Toronto

Toronto Raptors guard Immanuel Quickley, while speaking at his exit interview on Monday, expressed his desire to remain with the organization. The 24-year-old, who was traded to Toronto in the deal that sent OG Anunoby to the Knicks, averaged a career-high 18.6 points, 6.8 assists, and 4.8 rebounds in 38 games with the Raptors. But he will be a restricted free agent this offseason, so there should be interest from multiple clubs around the National Basketball Association. With that said, Quickley is figured to earn over $25 million on his next contract, although the Raptors will likely be more than happy to match any offers he'll garner as a restricted free agent.

Brandon Ingram Returns With Efficient Performance

New Orleans Pelicans guard/forward Brandon Ingram logged 23 minutes in his first game back from a knee injury in Sunday's losing effort against the Lakers. The Pelicans produced a sub-par performance in a must-win game, but Ingram played well in his first action since March 21, shooting 6-for-9 from the field en route to 13 points and five rebounds. Ingram missed the previous 12 games, but the team should ramp up his minutes quickly, as the Pelicans now enter the play-in tournament, with a rematch against the Lakers scheduled for Tuesday. Ingram has always saved some of his best performances for his former team, averaging 23.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 4.5 assists for his career against the Lakers.

Immanuel Quickley Out On Sunday

Toronto Raptors guard Immanuel Quickley (adductor) will not play in Sunday's contest versus the Miami Heat. He will be sidelined during the final regular season game because of a left adductor strain. With Toronto's season coming to a close, they will turn their attention to building a better roster for next season, which Quickley will likely be a major part of. The 24-year-old guard was traded from the New York Knicks to the Raptors in the middle of the season, and his production boomed. He shined as a starter, averaging more than 18 points and dishing out over six assists per game.

Brandon Ingram Ruled Out For Thursday

New Orleans Pelicans forward Brandon Ingram (knee) is ruled out for Thursday's game against the Sacramento Kings. There is optimism for Ingram returning soon after doing more in practice, but he will miss his 11th consecutive game. Ingram has two more regular season games after this to return before the postseason and play-in games start. Trey Murphy III has stepped up most with averages of 16.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 1.3 steals per game over those 11 games in Ingram's absence. Larry Nance Jr. and Herbert Jones also get extra frontcourt minutes that come without Ingram to boost their value.

RJ Barrett Sitting Out Against Nets

Toronto Raptors forward RJ Barrett (knee) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Brooklyn Nets. After playing 33 minutes in Tuesday's loss to the visiting Indiana Pacers, Barrett will get the night off on the second half of Toronto's back-to-back. The 23-year-old Canadian swingman should be able to return for Friday's contest against the Miami Heat. The short-handed 25-54 Raptors could turn to Jordan Nwora and Jalen McDaniels for additional minutes in their starting lineup on Wednesday, but it's difficult to pinpoint a clear beneficiary of Barrett's absence for DFS purposes. The sharpshooting Gary Trent Jr. (back) should lead the offense if available, averaging 21.9 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.8 steals, and 3.1 three-pointers over his last 14 games.
