Toronto Raptors center Jakob Poeltl (groin) has been ruled out for Thursday's matchup against Memphis. A groin issue will keep him off the floor for a fourth consecutive contest. Poeltl's absence opens up more playing opportunities for Kelly Olynyk and Chris Boucher. The latter is coming off a big performance, having finished Monday's 139-125 loss to the Knicks with 16 points, three rebounds, three steals, and one block in 19 minutes. However, Boucher tends to be a volatile fantasy asset. Olynyk only recently made his season debut and has so far averaged 6.9 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.3 steals in limited action.

Poeltl is dealing with a groin strain, and there hasn't been a timetable for his return yet. The former ninth overall pick has been enjoying his best season yet with averages of 15.5 points, 11.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.1 steals, and 1.2 blocks per game. Jonathan Mogbo will probably remain in the starting five while Poeltl is sidelined, and Kelly Olynyk should see more opportunities off of the bench. Mogbo hasn't been great as a streaming option after averaging just 4.8 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per contest in his four starts.

The big man from Austria suffered a left groin injury when he slipped on the floor early in the fourth quarter. Poeltl finished the night with six points, five rebounds, three assists, and one steal. The 29-year-old has been a walking double-double in 2024-25 and will be a big miss for Toronto if Poeltl has to sit out additional action. If that's the case, Jonathan Mogbo, Kelly Olynyk, and Chris Boucher will take care of his minutes. Boucher had the best game of the three on Monday with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
