New Orleans Pelicans forward Brandon Ingram (knee) is ruled out for Thursday's game against the Sacramento Kings. There is optimism for Ingram returning soon after doing more in practice, but he will miss his 11th consecutive game. Ingram has two more regular season games after this to return before the postseason and play-in games start. Trey Murphy III has stepped up most with averages of 16.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 1.3 steals per game over those 11 games in Ingram's absence. Larry Nance Jr. and Herbert Jones also get extra frontcourt minutes that come without Ingram to boost their value.
Toronto Raptors forward RJ Barrett (knee) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Brooklyn Nets. After playing 33 minutes in Tuesday's loss to the visiting Indiana Pacers, Barrett will get the night off on the second half of Toronto's back-to-back. The 23-year-old Canadian swingman should be able to return for Friday's contest against the Miami Heat. The short-handed 25-54 Raptors could turn to Jordan Nwora and Jalen McDaniels for additional minutes in their starting lineup on Wednesday, but it's difficult to pinpoint a clear beneficiary of Barrett's absence for DFS purposes. The sharpshooting Gary Trent Jr. (back) should lead the offense if available, averaging 21.9 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.8 steals, and 3.1 three-pointers over his last 14 games.
Toronto Raptors guard Immanuel Quickley won't play on Tuesday against Indiana. The 24-year-old has averaged a career-high 18.3 points in 36 games with the Raptors. But he's missed time due to injury, so he'll take the night off to rest. Without him on the floor, RJ Barrett and Gary Trent Jr. should lead the way on the scoring end. In addition, Gradey Dick (groin) and Kelly Olynyk could also see a substantial increase in fantasy production without Quickley in the mix.
Toronto Raptors guard Ochai Agbaji (hip) could return from a three-game absence on Friday but has received a questionable tag for the matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks. Agbaji has been suffering from a right hip contusion and seems to be trending in the right direction now that he's not getting ruled out ahead of time. If Agbaji can suit up, he should join the starting five again and receive north of 25 minutes. The Raptors are still trying to find players for the future and Agbaji may find his spot in the rotation. He should garner some DFS attention, especially with the amount of playing time available.
Toronto Raptors guard RJ Barrett (rest) is expected to return to the court ahead of Friday's game against the Milwaukee Bucks. Both Barrett and forward Kelly Olynyk (rest) both sat out of Wednesday's game. Fantasy managers shouldn't be too concerned as it appeared to be a routine rest day. The return of these players should mean decreased roles for Garrett Temple, Jalen McDaniels and Malik Williams.
