Toronto Raptors point guard Immanuel Quickley (pelvic) did not participate in Thursday's practice for the Raptors after being pulled from Wednesday's season opener during the second quarter after suffering a right pelvis contusion. His status for tomorrow is officially listed as doubtful. Initially head coach Darko Rajakovic had said Quickley would be questionable for tomorrow's matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers. The downgrade in status is discouraging for fantasy owners but the initial thought that Quickley may be questionable should help ease concerns about the seriousness of the injury. Toronto plays a back-to-back starting tomorrow and it would not be surprising if the team gives the 25-year-old extra rest to be ready for Monday's game against the Denver Nuggets. In the meantime, fantasy managers should look to Davion Mitchell as the man who will pick up starts for Quickley. Mitchell put up eight points and three assists in 25 minutes of action last night, though that was buoyed with five turnovers. His fantasy value may be iffy as a sub, though he should continue to log high minutes as long as Quickley is out.

Quickley suffered what is being called a right pelvis contusion during the second quarter of this contest. The Raptors will hold him out for the second half of this game and will likely give more details after the game. He finished with 13 points and four assists across 14 minutes of play before exiting. Davion Mitchell started in the second half and would likely be asked to take on a bigger role if Quickley misses time. Mitchell has been inconsistent throughout his career, but could be a possible streaming option if Quickley is sidelined for multiple games.

Toronto Raptors forward RJ Barrett (shoulder) won't play in Wednesday's game against the Cavaliers. The former Duke Blue Devil suffered an AC joint sprain a few weeks ago and has been working his way back since. He was hoping to be ready for the opener. However, that won't happen. Fortunately, he's been increasing his activity level, so fantasy managers shouldn't shut the door regarding a potential return for upcoming meetings with Philadelphia, Minnesota, or Denver. But with Bruce Brown (knee) and Kelly Olynyk (back) ruled out, Scottie Barnes and Immanuel Quickley should carry the load on the offensive end. There's also room for Gradey Dick and Ochai Agbaji to smash their projections for Wednesday evening.

According to Michael Grange of Sportsnet, Barrett went through practice on Monday without contact and is targeting opening night for his return. They'll take on the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday for their season opener. If Barrett is unable to suit up, since rookie Ja'Kobe Walter (shoulder) and Bruce Brown (knee) are both out, Ochai Agbaji could step into a starting role with Gradey Dick receiving a lot more opportunities too.

The speedy guard is working his way back from a thumb injury he sustained before training camp. As a result of the injury, Quickley has missed all four of Toronto's preseason games. His status for the final preseason game on Friday versus Brooklyn will be determined by how Quickley feels after practicing the next couple of days. Missing the preseason certainly isn't ideal for Quickley, but he's set to be healthy for the start of the regular season, and that's the most important thing. The 25-year-old is gearing up for his first full campaign with the Raptors, and the expectations are high following Quickley's good spell he had with the team last term after arriving in a mid-season trade from New York.
