Philadelphia 76ers point guard Tyrese Maxey (finger) is set to miss at least two more games. On Friday, 76ers head coach Nick Nurse stated that Maxey would not be available this weekend against the Miami Heat and Toronto Raptors. However, Maxey was a partial participant in Friday's practice, which suggests that he could be ready to rejoin the action soon. Due to a finger sprain, Maxey has been unavailable for 13 games. Jared Butler and Jeff Dowtin Jr. have shared point guard duties during Maxey's absence.

Philadelphia 76ers guard/forward Quentin Grimes (rest) will be back on the floor Wednesday against the Washington Wizards. Philadelphia rested Grimes on Monday against the New Orleans Pelicans. Grimes has had a spectacular few weeks with the 76ers, averaging 28.0 points, 4.9 rebounds, 5.2 assists, and 2.1 steals in March. His run of good form this month includes a couple of 40-point efforts. Scoring should be easy for Grimes again on Wednesday against a Wizards team that gives up a league-high 120.5 points per game.

According to Philadelphia 76ers head coach Nick Nurse, center Joel Embiid (knee) has consulted with "many doctors and specialists" regarding the plan for his ailing left knee. While a decision hasn't been made about how to proceed with treatment, Nurse expects one "soon-ish." It's been a horrendous year for the 76ers, a team many believed would make a deep playoff run. Unfortunately, that likely won't happen, with Philadelphia barely alive for a Play-In berth. Embiid's health is a big reason for the team's struggles, with the 31-year-old averaging only 23.8 points, 8.2 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 0.9 blocks, all down from the 2023-24 campaign. Even worse, he was limited to only 19 games, mostly because of a left knee injury. With that in mind, surgery appears to still be on the table for the 2023 MVP. But with the delay in treatment, it seems there's a realistic chance this situation will follow Embiid into next season.

According to Philadelphia 76ers head coach Nick Nurse, Philadelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey (finger) has been working out. He's currently wearing a splint on his injured right finger, with the ailment keeping him off the floor for Philadelphia's previous 12 games. Despite the 76ers' disastrous year, Maxey has thrived, averaging a career-high 26.3 points with 3.3 rebounds, 6.1 assists, and 1.8 steals. Nurse added he hopes Maxey will play in Philly's "final games" of the 2024-25 campaign. However, fantasy managers may not see him back in the lineup until next season. In the meantime, Jared Butler should continue to fill in at the one, with Quentin Grimes anticipated to benefit the most on the scoring end.

Philadelphia 76ers guard/forwardLonnie Walker IV(concussion) has been cleared to suit up for Friday's matchup with the San Antonio Spurs. The 26-year-old sustained a concussion last week but will return to the court after missing five consecutive contests. He has played in 10 games for the 76ers this season, averaging 8.2 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.9 assists in 19.2 minutes per contest. His return will bring some relief to a Sixers roster decimated by injuries.
