Philadelphia 76ers guard Kyle Lowry (hip) has been ruled out for the next three games. It appears Lowry suffered a right hip strain during Monday's scoreless outing against the Miami Heat. Now, Lowry will be shut down and re-evaluated next week. The Sixers are also without Tyrese Maxey (hamstring), but he's currently listed as questionable for Wednesday's contest. If he sits, Jared McCain, Eric Gordon, and Reggie Jackson would all continue seeing significant roles in the rotation. McCain is by far the best option out of the bunch in terms of fantasy production.

Philadelphia 76ers point guard Kyle Lowry is expected to return to the team for the 2024-25 campaign. Lowry is a free agent after completing a short-term deal with his hometown team. The Knicks and Clippers have reportedly kept tabs on him, but according to NBA insider Marc Stein, the 38-year-old is "widely" expected to re-sign with the 76ers. Lowry averaged 8.0 points and 4.6 assists in 28.4 minutes after moving to Philadelphia in February. The former All-Star is clearly past his best and only a deep-league asset in fantasy basketball at this point.

Lowry was traded by the Miami Heat to the Charlotte Hornets on Jan. 23, and his contract was bought out two weeks later without the veteran making a single appearance for the team. League sources have told The Athletic's Fred Katz that Lowry was on the Knicks' "list" following the buyout before he signed a deal until the end of the season with his hometown team. The 38-year-old might be on the move again this offseason as a free agent and could be back on New York's radar after some strong performances against the Knicks in this year's playoffs.
