ESPN's Shams Charania reports that Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (knee) will undergo arthroscopic surgery on his left knee next week, a team official tells ESPN. Embiid's season was shut down in late February as he and the 76ers met with doctors to determine a treatment plan for his lingering knee issues. It was determined that surgery was the best option for the 31-year-old. According to Charania, it will be the second surgery on that left in the last 14 months. The big man played in just 19 games this season, posting averages of 23.8 points, 8.2 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 0.9 blocks over 30.2 minutes per contest.

Philadelphia 76ers forward/center Guerschon Yabusele (knee) will not play on Tuesday against the New York Knicks. After missing Sunday's loss to the Toronto Raptors, the feisty Frenchman was not included in the initial injury report for Tuesday's game, but he has now been ruled out due to a sore right knee. Alex Reese and Marcus Bagley will receive more playing opportunities on Tuesday, while Adem Bona will continue to start at center. Bona has had a strong eight-game stretch, averaging 12.1 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 2.6 blocks.

Philadelphia 76ers point guard Kyle Lowry (hip) may return to the lineup on Tuesday against the New York Knicks, as the team has upgraded him to questionable. The veteran guard has missed nearly two months of action while managing a hip injury. This season, Lowry has suited up for only 33 games with the 76ers, averaging 4.0 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 2.8 assists in 18.9 minutes. Even if he returns from his extended absence, Lowry is not expected to be a big piece in the rotation

Philadelphia 76ers point guard Tyrese Maxey (finger) will be out for a 16th straight game on Tuesday against the New York Knicks. Last week, 76ers head coach Nick Nurse suggested that Maxey is expected to return to action this season. However, he has not been cleared for Tuesday's contest. Following Tuesday's action, Philadelphia will have six more games scheduled, starting with Thursday's meeting with the Milwaukee Bucks. Jared Butler has started most games at point guard in recent weeks, although he could face extra competition for playing time on Tuesday, as Kyle Lowry (hip) has been upgraded to questionable.

Philadelphia 76ers guard/forward Quentin Grimes (rest) is not listed on the injury report for Tuesday's matchup against the New York Knicks. He is set to return to the lineup for a special meeting with his former team. After having a limited role in New York, Detroit, and Dallas, Grimes has really blossomed with the 76ers. He has averaged 21.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 1.5 steals since moving to the City of Brotherly Love. Grimes will be out to show what the Knicks are missing, with players such as Lonnie Walker IV and Ricky Council IV taking on a smaller role offensively.
