Joel Embiid Not Expected To Play On Wednesday

According to Philadelphia 76ers head coach Nick Nurse, center Joel Embiid (knee, personal) is not expected to play in Wednesday's game against the Orlando Magic. At this point, fantasy managers are left scratching their heads regarding his availability. For now, it appears the 30-year-old is in line to miss his 14th game of the 2024-25 campaign. With uncertainty surrounding the health of Andre Drummond (ankle), Guerschon Yabusele, who had nine points with 12 boards, one steal, and one block in Tuesday's NBA Cup win over the Hornets, could remain in the starting lineup.

Kyle Lowry, Reggie Jackson Available On Tuesday

Philadelphia 76ers guards Kyle Lowry (hip) and Reggie Jackson (knee) are both available ahead of Tuesday's game against the Charlotte Hornets. Lowry will make his return to the court after missing each of the last five games due to a hip strain. The veteran guard is averaging 24 minutes per game, but also had two scoreless outings in two of his last three games. That being said, Lowry isn't too appealing of a streaming option right now. As for Jackson, he'll likely return to his bench role which is normally only minutes in the teens, which won't be enough to give viable streaming value.

Kyle Lowry Is Probable On Tuesday After A Five-Game Absence

Philadelphia 76ers guard Kyle Lowry (hip) appears to be on the verge of returning to the floor for Philly in Tuesday's game in Charlotte. Lowry has missed the last five games with a right-hip strain, but before that, he was a regular fixture in the starting lineup. Lowry averaged 6.2 points, 3.4 assists and 2.2 rebounds in 24.2 minutes per game while starting 10 of his 13 games. With Tyrese Maxey back from his injury and with the emergence of rookie Jared McCain, Lowry could play a reduced role, even when he's healthy.

Andre Drummond Is Out Tuesday Against The Hornets

76ers center Andre Drummond (ankle) was listed as out for Tuesday's NBA Emirates Cup game against the Hornets. Since Joel Embiid (knee/personal) is also out, the Sixers will be short-handed at center, meaning both teams could play very small. Guerschon Yabusele will likely get most of the minutes at center and has produced 0.94 DraftKings points and 0.91 FanDuel points per minute in his time with Drummond and Embiid off the floor. In the one game without Embiid and Drummond this year, Yabusele played 31 minutes and totaled 10 points, nine rebounds, five assists, and a steal against the Cavaliers.

Joel Embiid Will Remain Sidelined Tuesday

Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (knee/personal) will reportedly be ruled out again for Tuesday's matchup with the Charlotte Hornets. According to Philadelphia Inquirer's Keith Pompey, Embiid will miss another game due to left knee injury management and personal reasons. This will mark his 15th missed game of the season, and Guerschon Yabusele will likely see heavy minutes in his place. Andre Drummond (ankle) may start again if the ankle sprain he suffered isn't too severe, otherwise Adem Bona could play the backup role.
